What's on your mind? (2024)

It says “Your pet will love the cute cat design”. :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

My daughter has a slow down feeder too, but she uses it for dry food.

We have something similar! But you know the saying, fish gotta swim, birds gotta fly, cats gotta puke.

I’ve only thought they were good for dry kibble.

I have one who eats fast and one who doesn’t. I put down a 1/4 can for Finnegan; he eats it all. I will put down a Tbsp for Murphy - he’ll eat about half of it. :woman_shrugging:

My current little guy went from kittenhood to 5 1/2 years old without ever puking. I even mentioned it to the vet. Then, this year, he was up on the counter by the kitchen sink waiting for me to turn on the faucet for his flowing water daily demand treat - when all of a sudden -Vesuvius!!! At least he had the good manners to barf into the sink.

Wow! I swear Laszlo will move from wood floor to rug and THEN puke. But he’s never knocked anything off a counter, so it sort of evens out.

Izzy is a master of countertop-launched breakage. As for rug barf - over the years I’ve gone to bare floors. However, if there’s a small mat or area rug, it’s like a litter box for barf. They migrate to it.

What is it with the dribbling water fascination? One of our cats would balance herself on the tiny wall hung sink while dad would shave in the morning. Another cat would put himself in line for water dribbling off the roomate’s hand in the shower. The current grandcat will not allow you to use the sink, any sink, unless she’s been served first. Last but not least, one of our old dudes would rake the top of the water in the barrel tub in the back yard or even the water bowl we kept for him in the bath tub. Gotta love them.

My late, great Buster would ONLY drink water from the bathroom sink. I ended up getting a Pioneer pet water fountain for down near their food bowls, and now all my cats are used to it.

And on occasion, the late, great Alfalfa would want to get in on the act. But he required still water, not running water. Go figure.

My sister’s cat Coco DEMANDS fresh water at least twice a day. And Coco usually requires that she see the water being changed. It’s basically become my job to change the water.

This morning Coco wouldn’t stop meowing like a madman after I changed the water. I sure wish, as I’m sure many other pet owners do, that pets could tell us what they want to say.

I have no idea. I’ve had two like this; one girl (who liked the dripping water to go on top of her head- then she’d lick it off her face), and the current little guy who really doesn’t do dripping - he wants the faucet on almost full force. Maybe he’s looking for a fire hose. :woman_shrugging:t3:

I just live here. I don’t make the rules, obviously.

My Babette knocked my only piece of Beleek china off the nightstand.

Broken Rose Medallion plate and the replacement I found on the ‘bay. Izzy refused to pay for it.

He knocked everything off an end table. There was another lamp sitting on the floor waiting to be moved. He managed to break both, plus a tiny Xmas tree and assorted other goodies.

He remains unrepentant.

She also broke the wing off a Swarovski crystal penguin I received for Christmas. Less than an hour after I had unwrapped the gift. My fault, I should have kept it out of her view. I’m sure that was a highlight for her.

Izzy broke a snow globe/music box I was given - Nutcracker ballerina. Haven’t been able to find an exact replacement.

Maybe it’s evolutionary; better absorption means less risk of getting paws etc wet.

If you’re going to do something, go all in.

OK, now @Meekah - would you remotely believe it if he expressed any form of remorse?
