The Alaska Department of Fish and Game can explain it better than I can. I’ve caught them all the way from Northern PNW up to Bristol Bay. They are infrequent, and taste no different than reddish salmon, but are a neat anomoly at the dinner table.

Looks and sounds like you’re on the mend. Spicy foods okay?

No, she was very apologetic
But it’s interesting that people don’t pay attention to who they’re blinding with the phone led — I’m so careful about turning it down to the lowest setting and then shielding it just in case

That Detroit pizza with the marinara has a hella lot of marinara on it!

Getting there! This wasn’t too spicy (at least for me). On the other hand, there was more fat than I’ve had in a bit. My tummy was a little unprepared, but has rallied admirably. Unrelated - today ended up being my first pain med free day! We’ll see how things go tomorrow, but I will take it for now!

I disapprove of people using their phone lights in a dark theater for reading the program or heading to or from their seat. For another thread of pet peeves.

This was late afternoon through early evening and constituted both my lunch and my dinner:

Love Deetroit style pizza, I’m lucky I have a few amazing spots in the city.

In my area too. And spouse likes to buy Costco’s frozen version on his cooking nights, then doctor it up. I will suggest garlic pickles next time!

I’ve had my eye on that one. Thanks!

Maybe restaurant sanitation has gone down with staffing issues, and they have something to hide. Or we’ve all gotten really unkempt and ugly during COVID and restaurateurs are sick of looking at us

That looks gooood.

Last night I had somewhere to be but quickly roasted Bratwurst over Sauerkraut mixed with a light roux and spices, honeycrisp apple slices, and onions tossed in butter. I also made baked apple slices tossed with pumpkin pie spice and turbinado for our kiddo. Side was Aldi’s cheese and onion Spätzle. No pic - I ate mine in a bun on the run.

I just noticed your dish. Could it possibly be the same as mine? About 35 years ago Benson & Hedges ran a magazine special offer. So many proof of purchases from cigarette packs in exchange for the set. That was my MIL’s brand so she saved them up for me. Still stylish imo and Made in Italy too.:slightly_smiling_face:

‘bun on the run’…has that been coined for a fast food promo? If not…quick, get it!

My husband suggested Buns on the Run for a bao/bun food truck :joy:

Oven-roasted a huge piece of salmon with soy sauce/honey/vinegar. That turned into salmon sushi bowl for B with vinegared rice/cubed avocado/pickled red onion/pickled cabbage/pickled cukes/scallions/gim (aka nori). Spring Onion enjoyed his salmon gimbap (Korean seaweed rolls) but I keep forgetting to take photos of his food before it gets half-eaten. Finally, my half-Korean kid is starting to explore Korean flavors.

I might eat mine with my new favorite veggie product, made from lions mane mushroom. Funny, when I cook, I tend to lose my appetite. I’ll drink some beer until I get hungry.
