Spent the day in the city – very nice! Lunch was a ginormous burger and fries. Back home, it’s easy on the dinner, please.

Deconstructed salmon Caesar, with tinned coho salmon. A hard-boiled egg for good measure. Garlic bread from homemade baguette. Lettuce was a mix of store-bought and garden grown.

I had a homemade Filet o’ Fish tonight for an early dinner followed by a late-night mug of chicken posole I made a few days ago with leftover pulled chicken taco meat and braising liquid, corn, hominy, pinto beans, etc. No pics but both hit their spots.

Bummer on the foot :frowning: And those kumatoes from TJs are the only tomatoes I’ll eat outside of summer. I don’t know how they make them so tasty when every other tomato is bland and watery.

Fusilli with pistachios and pecorino, adapted from Ottolenghi Simple:

It’s the second recipe down in the article. I swapped out the garlic and half the basil called for with ramps. A very Springtime dish!

I agree and they are even better than the knock-off Aldi “Spanish brown tomatoes” that looks similar.

Burger night: white American cheese, caramelized onions with a splash of Worcestershire (really amazing addition), mayo mixed with ketchup and diced pickles, tomato, toasted Brioche bun. Air-fried IPA battered fries. I also made the best pasta salad I’ve ever had in my life (mayo, sour cream, white vinegar, Dijon, onion, carrots, chopped green olives, salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika).

Drinks in the garden beforehand. It’s still a work in progress. Bombay and tonic with Rose’s Lime Juice for me. Made one with Fever Tree elderflower tonic and muddled blackberries for him.
