They have improved significantly since my intolerance first showed its ugly self about 10 years ago, but a lot of it still tastes like a plastic bag of sad.

I recently splurged on a box of vegan cheese from Rebel Cheese. They were a big success on Shark Tank, so I gave it a shot. The brie and gruyere are really good…they both have the right texture, amd none od that yuck chemical after taste.

Violife is still my first choice for supermarket stuff…it actually melts.

Rebel sells out of my local market!

I keep meaning to try it, but Formaggio Essex is a big distraction.

Kraft Dinner is how Kraft Max and Cheese is labeled and known in Canada. It’s a comfort food and staple for so many Canadians. When I was a kid, my dinner when my parents went out and a babysitter was taking care of me, was Kraft Dinner, Chef Boyardee mini ravioli from a can, Libby’s Zoodles or Alphaghetti, a Swanson’s Hungry Man Dinner, or a frozen Chinese TV Dinner.

I’m recovering from cataract surgery and have some other crap going on, I’ll probably be back when everything settles. If sister doesn’t reply, she is fine. Thanks for checking on us.

Glad to hear from you, thanks! Good luck with recovery and other crap.

Thank you for checking in! It’s always a bit worrisome when regular posters disappear for a while.

Hope your recovery is quick and smooth!

HVAC and eyeball inspections today.
Both were good.
A/C unit doing well.
No new eyeball Rx needed. :+1:

Went with an old Friday Favorite (that I haven’t had since early February, according to my FB search):

Steak tip with Ballymaloe steak sauce, half a large baked potato with TPSTOB&SC, and steamed asparagus with butter and s/p.

There was wine.

And while today struggled to hit the low 50s, the weekend will be sunny and in the high 70s to mid 80s. FINALLY! :sun_with_face:

We enjoyed some excellent takeout from Pide 28 in Paterson, NJ. It was my first time trying Pide, which is like a Turkish pizza. We enjoyed the Karisik (mixed) Pide with finely chopped meat blended with vegetables, pastrami, sausage, and mozzarella on top. It went great with an excellent red blend.
