What's for Dinner #128 - the Pastel Easter Egg Hunt Edition - April 2026

I’d say yes… with each physical therapy session, Sunshine is improving her range of motion (thumb). The Physical Therapist gave her more “homework” exercises to do.

We don’t know how much longer physical therapy will be required, but they are spacing the sessions out further apart. That could be an “insurance thing” or it could mean she needs less physical therapy.

At this point, I’m happy to see her start using her dominant hand more for everyday (light) tasks. I’m guessing if her hand/thumb isn’t hurting, the brain is telling her to go ahead and use that hand vs. her non-dominant hand.

@linguafood – Yes, she was quite happy with her dinner, was full and cleaned her plate!!

Putting this in the mental file looks delish.

Tonight’s dinner was spaghetti with stirfried veggies. I finished up the marinara sauce in the fridge earlier this week and I would like to finish up random veggies before dipping into all that pesto sauce I have in the freezer.

A summery day had us hit the beer garden late afternoon, where a charity “mutt strut” was underway. Lots of cute lil doggies to watch while sipping a cold Kölsch.

One of my gal pals was working today through Sunday, which is why we chose the brewery to meet up with a couple of other chicas as well.

The food truck had sweet corn bites with chipotle mayo and decent wings that we shared between us.

Martinis for dessert at home, plus maybe a chonk or two of the Chinatown roast pork I picked up earlier today.

We enjoyed another sensational dinner at That Supper Club pop up dinner, including wagyu and uni on toasted milk bread; caramelized onion casoncello with crispy prosciutto; ramp lasagna bianco; salad with mortadella yakitori and pistachio; prawn toast; grilled mahi mahi; foie gras; oysters with caviar; red snapper ceviche; 45 day dry aged filet mignon; strawberry rhubarb tartlet. It all went great with an excellent cabernet and Malbec. The menu at the end gives more details.

My potatoes were starting to go south, so I made my Potato, Onion and Carrot Casserole - yet, again. This casserole will make 6 servings - 3 meals. Both Sunshine and I like it and we haven’t gotten tired of it (yet).

It’s a Very Special Sportsing weekend for the local cult , so I put in a coupla hours and drove many of its members (in varying stages of intoxication) around, and will likely do more of that tomorrow morning.

Dinner was the Chinatown roast pork,

my boo’s delectable baby bok choy,

and I contributed another smacked cuke salad — a much better rendition than the previous one.

A buddy is coming over in a bit to watch a movie.
