those look great
The chicken (well, actually everything) sounds delicious. Would you recommend the recipe and would you mind sharing?
Yes, it’s a tasty, simple dinner and can be combined with different vegetables as side dishes

Very nice!
Every Friday I buy lunch mostly to have a break from cooking but also to reward myself for making it through the work week. Yesterday I bought a chicken pesto sandwich from a nearby deli but their sandwiches are huge. I was only able to eat half so I wrapped up the other half tightly and had it for dinner tonight. The sandwich held up very well and the chicken actually improved in flavour overnight.
Sohla had a sweet corn cacio e pepe on her Instagram. I make pasta maybe once a year, so this was a special occasion. This was good with our local, best-season corn.
Thank you!
A quick visit to my sister’s to (finally!) drop off her birthday presents. (Her b’day is mid-July.) She giggled at the colored pencils with the “Coloring Cats Farts” coloring book. She got a Sloth version as a Christmas gift from a niece-in-law. Yes, her in-laws and I are weird.
Traffic down to the South Shore in the middle of the day not great (people still headed to the Cape?), but much easier coming home.
I wanted to use up the rest of the rotisserie chicken tonight, and decided on udon noodles with sautéed sugar snap peas, red bell pepper, and onions with the leftover chicken and a peanut sauce, and peanuts sprinkled on top.
It was good, and yes, there was wine.
A few weeks ago I made up a largish batch of meatballs and froze (raw) eight to a ziplock. It was 2/3 ground beef and 1/3 ground pork for a change. Browned in olive oil and simmered away in red wine doctored jarred sauce because I want to keep what’s left of our garden sauce for company. Served over lightly buttered fettuccine. Romaine, pears, Very Chunky homemade blue cheese, toasted chopped walnuts and a sprinkle of dried cranberries for color.
Very nice!
I’m in a serious carb coma right now.
Brought dinner and dessert over to a friend’s — Italian pulled chicken sandwiches with provolone on a multigrain roll, salad she served, and donuts we picked up after apple picking.
We enjoyed another outstanding dinner at Cafe Panache, in Ramsey, NJ, including spicy tuna over avocado and crispy rice with ginger; kabocha squash agnolotti in a brown butter sauce; filet mignon with shallots in a Bordelaise sauce; panko crusted halibut with bok choy and forbidden rice over a wasabi sake sauce; crispy fried zucchini blossoms stuffed with cheese. It all went great with an excellent Shiraz and cabernet.
Smooth jazz, martini rocks, dumpling tomato salad With chile crisp vinaigrette. Bliss.
Nitsuke braised Sitka black cod, rice, and some sliced garden veggies.
