What's For Dinner #116 - the Mardi Gras / St. Patrick's Day Edition - March 2025

Always a treat to be cooked for. My friend made miso salmon, spicy haricots vert, an orzo and leek stir-fry, and Japanese tomato salad for dinner.

I took dessert – lemon blondies / brownies with white chocolate chips and a lemon glaze.

The miso salmon was a change from mine, because she used red miso and I use white. I am not usually a fan of orzo, but it was delicious the way she prepared it. And the tomato salad was :100: – tomatoes blanched and peeled before marinating in a honey and vinegar dressing: like popping candy!

A lovely evening that would have extended even longer if it wasn’t a weeknight. She finally had to peel the kids away from the after-dinner chat at 10:30 to send them to finish their schoolwork before bed :sleepy:
