What is snow goose, and where did you get it?

Looks good. A favorite comfort food.

Do you chop up or fp the pork yourself? A shop on Stockton sells a frozen with salted fish version that is quite tasty.

I’ve done that before but this time I just used ground pork that I chopped up finer. I followed this recipe mostly:

Snow goose is smaller than a Canadian goose . My friend who is a professional fishing guide for 40 years . Loves to hunt also . Went with other guides over the weekend hunting. Hiring a guide .
Successful harvest .

Thanks, but from where? Canada? USA?

Northern California

Hmm. Have they hunted actual Canada geese? I’ve wondered how they taste. Also, our local wild turkeys.

More after the snow goose or spotted . Very mild tasting because of their diet . The size between a duck and a Canadian goose

Couple-a fish sammiches, homemade tartar sauce, sliced orange cheese, toasted brioche buns and a side of ruffled crisps.
Would make again, but not for a while :yum:  :pig:

Roasted chicken legs with rosemary. Made a pan sauce with chicken broth, garlic and white wine. Roasted grapes. A quartered acorn squash with quinoa, mushrooms, kale and Parmesan cheese.

Veggie cheesesteaks for my dinner tonight. Portobello, peppers, onions. Habanero cheese sauce. Some pickled beets on the side.

Deetz on the fish, dude?

Farm Boy frozen " crispy battered" cod filets, very good frozen product. 20-25 mins in a 425 deg oven, no deep frying involved.

Wow! They look faboski! Much better than most frozen battered fish filets I’ve seen.

I wonder what the US equivalent would be. Bet they’d come out perfectly in our spiffy new air-fryer

Farm Boy is kinda like the Canadian equivalent of TJ’s, maybe try there?
