Sounds good to me!
i worked until 9:00 p.m. last night, came home and the BF had made chicken kra pao, nice and spicy, and i was too hungry to heat up rice (would have been great with all those juices), but i managed to crispy-fry an egg. hoping there are leftovers for tonight, another late work night.
Perfect
We were in Rochester, NY and stopped at the Ukrainian store mentioned above. Needless to say, I’ve been craving Eastern European soup for the past couple of days. Pickle soup (which I made) with lamb pelmeni (which I bought) topped with a dollop of tzatziki since I was out of sour cream and fresh dill. Served with a bit of leftover pickled herring and beet salad and black bread. A perfect meal for the cold weather we’ve been having.
Per @honkman’s recommendation I picked up jar of Mama’s ajvar. I can’t wait to try it.
That sounds so good right now! We have a Ukrainian cafe in the area that makes a mean pelmeni soup. Your post inspired me to stop in again — it’s been a while
I made my dad’s vegetable beef soup with barley, cornbread (with kernels), and a green salad. Hit the spot on this frigid night.
Glad to be of inspiration.
Wegmans chuck and brisket burger with cheese, bacon, and ketchup on the bottom bun.
That’s it. Didn’t want anything more. (Plus I didn’t have any potato chips. )
Now that’s a good looking burger
Looks great.
Crabcakes, mushrooms with crème fraiche, baked beans, sweet potatoes,
cooked curly endive with olive oil and lemon juice
maroulosalata (romaine with onions, dill and parsley, olive oil, and vinegar)
Old cheddar grits
Bread pudding with apples and dried cherries.
We enjoyed another outstanding dinner at Fiorentini in Rutherford, NJ, including handmade pappardelle carbonara; beef cheeks with truffled parsnips puree and crispy kale chips; polenta fries with olive tapenade and straciatella cheese; celery root steak with eggplant puree, crispy kale and spicy maple syrup jus; tuna crudo with clementine, Calabrian honey and sesame crackers; radicchio salad with apple compote, glazed sweet potatoes, almonds, and honey chili; It all went great with a couple of excellent red blends.
Fried pork chop, seasoned with smokehouse maple, bbq sauce. Potatoes au gratin from the freezer. Green onions, because.
Lettuce, fennel, blood orange, roasted golden beet salad, sherry vinegar, oo, honey, orange zest dressing. Dwr.
Yellowtail with teriyaki sauce, yu choy with oyster sauce, golden fried rice. The fish was a little overcooked, but I’m happy the rice came out right, because I don’t have a lot of luck with fried rice.
Pressure-Cooker Chili with ground beef, kidney beans, green peppers, tomatoes, onions, jalapeno, garlic, tomato paste, chili powder, oregano, cumin, cilantro and lime juice. Served over rice and with avocado and sour cream
I’ve made that sans anchovies. It us quite good and filling!
Nice!
