What's For Dinner #114 - the 1st Quarter Century Edition - January 2025

Went out for dinner with some friends(ex work mates) despite the frigid temperatures, -20 C.
Koh Lipe Thai Kitchen has 1 Michelin star, and boy oh boy was it jumpin’. Packed to that rafters at 5:30pm and a line up as we left a couple hours later.
We shared and appetizer, no photo, and I ordered Pad Ka Na, Chinese broccoli with garlic, onion and chilli. Delicious and the potion was huge with tons of crispy pork belly, came with a side of rice. I asked for med heat level and it was perfect. Not sure how “authentic” this dish is, but I’d order it again. Only complaint was the noise level, waaayyyy too loud for this geezer, had to yell at my dining companions to have a conversation  . Michelin star worthy? Not sure, but it’s sure good for business.

*uploaded a photo of the app we shared, Goong Moun.

Fried crispy skin tofu rolled with shrimp, carrot, chilli, betel leaf and served with Arjard sauce. Very good.
