Agree. To me, a garlic press is necessary. I have tried using the microplane, but don’t care for my fingers getting microplaned in the process.

Open face rotisserie chicken sandwedge on a piece of toasted flaxseed sourdough bread, smothered in mushroom gravy with buttered broccoli and a chunk of potato gratin. Not too shabby

Tonight I made pulled ranch chicken sandwiches on Kaiser buns. I added blue cheese crumbles and buffalo mayo, together with pickles and iceberg lettuce. Roasted asparagus, green beans, and seasoned fries as sides.

You are welcome! I decided if I kept a jar of the roasting medium in the fridge I would make roasted vegetables more often. For about 8 servings of roasted veg: 1/2 cup olive oil, 2-6 tsp harissa (depending on your harissa and your heat tolerance), 1 tsp smoked paprika, 2 tsp cumin, 2 tsp coriander, 4 tsp lemon juice, 2 tsp pomegranate molasses (or honey), S&P to taste.
First lentil soup of the season, with spinach, carrots, leek, and garlic. I like to garnish my bowl with za’atar.
Much appreciated. This sounds ideal to me—not only for carrots but also on our stash of winter squash.
Cauliflower and Brussels also work well.
