Thanks, but it’s still a work in progress. I’m not sure why only half the skin got puffy tho. Next time I’m trying the white vinegar trick.

why, what is wrong with it/left to do?

Nothing wrong with it, it’s totally delicious but the skin is not puffing up evenly , I think I can do better. Like I said, gonna try the white vinegar trick.

You can send the unpuffed skin this way

I never said it wasn’t super crispy, but I want it evenly puffed :sob::sob::sob:. I think it might have to do with the unevenness of the piece of belly that I can get. It’s not always readily available, it gets snapped up real quick like.

Tonight’s dinner started with a broccoli carrot appetizer then chicken with mushroom sauce and egg noodles on the side.

(How do you post full links to other responses, not just the URL?)

Do you mean the entire thread?

I meant my entire post from the Fish Soup topic, including photos. I think you’ve done this with your Berlin posts, duplicated in the Berlin and What’s For Dinner/Lunch topics.

Apropos “weekly menu planning”…. I can’t even stick to my morning plans for dinner the same day :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

When I was looking at the WoL recipe for Thai beef salad it recommended marinating the beef overnight for the most flavorful results, and so I decided to postpone the yum nua by a day, and now two gorgeous strip steaks are spending an overnight in their flavor bath.

Another reason to switch things up was a ginormous tomato I got at the FM that was very much ready to eat today. Srsly, a newborn’s head size.

And so, a BA choriatiki with Sam’s Club hot dogs* on the side WFD. Pivoting keeps ya limber dontcha know?

My PIC made up 4 hot dogs bc he is insane. These are very big, and one was plenty with the salad

*Bummed to have no French’s in the house, so ‘fancy’ mustard had to do.

I don’t think that’s possible. Any links from my Berlin meals in the WFD thread would’ve shown up like yours just now.

Just now, your tomato post above was also in the Tomato topic, with the photo. Did you enter it two times?

I posted that tomato picture in the tomato master thread… Tuesday (I think?). I’d saved the tomato pic and included it here for size comparison.

So, two separate posts.

Another evening with no time, and even less energy. A quick throw together of oil roasted salmon with herbs, served with roasted potatoes and sauteed green beans. Chive-butter and a squeeze of lemon over all.

There was a recipe in today’s WaPo for pork chops with a peach tomato salsa. I had all the salsa ingredients so dinner was the chops, salsa, Spätzle w/ Pesto. Peach crisp for dessert. Team effort with #2 son and GF. Fun to cook with others

That looks great and very seasonal. Yum.

My friend and fellow volunteer brought dinner tonight: chicken pot pie and green salad with candied walnuts. It was very good and I was surprised, when she shared the recipe, that many of the ingredients come out of a can. One key step she takes is seasoning and marinating the chicken before searing.:woman_shrugging:t2:
