We’re 20 min away from the 96% eclipse and it’s cloudy AF here
No idea what you’re talking about.
I agree, let’s move on and stop correcting other people all day long.
@LindaWhit not food related but I have to ask: Since your sister is on a beach in Maine did the tide go out during the eclipse? I am now watching live coverage of the eclipse and viewers are describing what happened to the wildlife a lot of the animals went to sleep as if it were night time. Then I remembered trips to Kennebunkport when I was little - my parents used to rent a cottage there and I remember my dad taking me for early morning walks on the beach when the tide went out and I was just wondering if the eclipse affected the tide
If I ever get low on chicken I would be just as panicky as you and your sister There are so many dishes you can make with it.
I didn’t change the content or spirit of the post.
I might have been in the middle of correcting the spelling or formatting.
What ?
You changed both, tho.
Nothing to see here. Just semantics and lots of ground meat
I knew about animals going to sleep (birds as well) and insects start making their night noises (depending if they’re out in your area) during full eclipses. But she’s not said anything about the tide. She IS at a lake, so not sure she’d see that much going on with tidal action there.
She replied in text “chix on the grill tomorrow; chicken and rice, chicken stir-fry, chicken soup, chicken catchitore (sp) , chicken broccoli and pasta, etc.” (And that was HER spelling of cacciatore - never her best subject in school - she just came to me to fix her school reports - much as my coworkers have me proofread data sheets and marketing materials. LOL
I thought the birds would go quiet, but those darn cardinals never shut up
Please???!
Such luck to have you as a friend!
Haha, you always say that. Thanks, again, as always. I hope she thinks so
ETA: yay, she liked it and said it wasn’t too spicy. I love to hear when it goes over well…
Tonight I made Cubanos and a salad of apple, celery, toasted pecans, and grapes in Dijon-maple-mustard vinaigrette. Both yum and a good pairing. I shaved the ham using my mandoline
Scratched an itch leftover from Florida. Now for a Cafecito.
Great idea!
Yum.
That’s a good point. Just ask a United States Southerner about cornbread and sugar.
I know that Shepherd’s Pie is most of the time lamb but at the same time this recipes was named Shepherd’s Pie and contained beef and I just followed their naming decision
Wanted simple.
Made simple.
BISO chicken thighs seasoned with olive oil, s&p, and my homemade McCormick garlic and herb seasoning and roasted at 400° until done.
Leftover Basmati rice and newly steamed green beans with butter and s/p.
