someone here posted about a Sardinian Rice Salad and I can’t remember who! searching in the February thread turned up nothing…

in any case, i had the BF make it for me tonight. Fantastic - i gobbled it up. i don’t know what it is about it that appeals so much - maybe it’s that the textures are just so great together. I used jarred tuna in olive oil, and had him add radishes as the recipe suggested because we had them. I’d try it next time with brown rice or wild rice, but it was delicious with the basmati (i love pretty much all rice).

whoever it was, thank you! this is going into the rotation.

:notes:Rainy days and Mondays always get me down :notes:, Gibson rock and smooth jazz always picks me up. Seared and roasted biso chicken thigh, seasoned with s&p, oregano, paprika. Spanish style butter beans and romaine, red onion, yellow baby bell, radish, pickled carrot salad with pickled carrot juice and oo dressing.
The star was the butter beans. A gremlin sneaked into my kitchen and changed my digital thermometer from f to c so the thigh was slightly overcooked, fortunately I rechecked before it was incinerated, bonus was crispy skin. Dessert, since I have none of Tillamook’s new chocolate ice creams, was Curenta y tres on the rocks with a squeeze of lime and a splash of soda.

Yes, that was me! It’s so yummy, isn’t it? I was looking at my past weeks’meal plans and came across it again yesterday.

I’m going to try it with smoked fish next.

I’m planning on making this, too.

Picnic for dinner last night. Turkey, Swiss and boursin on marble rye. Over-cooked hard boiled eggs. Stubby carrots out of a bag.

For dessert, a choice of chocolate bunny or cream-filled eclair.

Great idea adding cheese tortellini to beans and greens. Sometimes I want to switch up a batch of beans and greens and this looks appealing. And do-able on a busy evening!

A stuffed Japanese pseudo-BBQ / Yakiniku dinner with the kids at ’ Gyu-bee '. Well marinated and seasoned meats, fine quality for the price.
Favorites included both Miso and Sweet soy marinated steak and briskets. Pork belly chunks and super-buttery Mushrooms medley.
