Penzeys’ Tsardust Memories-dusted roast pork tenderloin with mango salsa, leftover Basmati rice and Israeli couscous mixed together, and sauteed sugar snap peas, carrots and onions with Penzeys’ Mural of Flavor seasoning blend.

It was good.

Was in the mood for Caesar salad, so that’s what we had! Used some scali bread to make croutons and topped it with some roasted Arctic char.

Filet of wagyu beef on the grill. On the side, marinated mushrooms and shallots, along with grilled Yukon gold potatoes. Everything with herb butter and chopped scallions. A VSOP for the cook.

For dessert, Bouchons au Chocolat.

We enjoyed a sensational dinner, on our actual 13 anniversary, at Bistro D’Azur in South Orange, NJ, including a melt in your mouth venison; branzino; duck confit salad; jamon, figs, and Humboldt fog cheese salad; lobster and shrimp crepe; fruit de mer. It all went great with an excellent cabernet and Chateauneuf Du Pape.

Tonight’s dinner was Pesto Chicken Breast with melted mozzarella cheese on top. I put the mozzarella on too early in the cooking process and it got a bit dark. It was still tasty and everyone enjoyed their dinner. Sides were Chicken “Rice a Roni” and green beans.

I’m not sure what to call this. A terrine? A cottage pie? With halibut, asparagus, peas, and egg, topped with leftover mashed potato. Delicious, but it didn’t plate neatly so no serving photos, sorry.

That slaw looks good! Very colorful.

Thanks! It’s a good way to make winter vegetables look like spring vegetables.

Happy anniversary! And dinner as usual looks fabulous.

Two nights ago I made creamed spinach lasagna with baby spinach, creme fraiche and ricotta, mozz, provolone, and Parm Regg, and TJ’s jarred Bolognese sauce. Turned out well although I thought the sour-cream tang (an idea borrowed from Julia Turshen) was a little odd. Still tasty. Arugula with raspberry white wine vinaigrette and leftover broccoli salads as sides.

Last night was kiddie soccer. I threw together chicken “korma” using a jarred sauce and dry spice mix from Aldi. I added fresh onion, garlic, and ginger. Two of the three of us liked it OK – I think the little one prefers what’s essentially a sweetish, mildly spiced vodka sauce instead :joy:. Which, I’ll admit, is darn tasty. Served up with naan and brown basmati rice.

Thanks for sharing! I crave fish tacos and usually find them disappointing when I order them at a restaurant here in MA. This, I can do at home.
