Tonight’s dinner was chili with pureed acorn squash and peas on the side. The veggies were garnished with a PSTOB.

I find frozen peas vary quite a bit, depending on the brand.
I like Green Giant frozen peas grown in North America. President’s Choice brand are around the same quality.
The Farm Boy (a Cdn store ) peas grown in Spain taste post mature/starchy compared to Green Giant. The other store brands haven’t been great.

I just put the frozen peas into a cold saute pan with a small amount of water . A spoonful of butter a pinch of salt . Cook for around six minutes. Good to go .

Chicken-zucchini meatballs over rotini, with roasted tomatoes, garlic, red pepper flakes, and parmesan cheese. Marinated artichokes along with.

Seasoned with pork seasoning, seared and roasted pork tenderloin, sweet and spicy Moroccan roasted carrots, sauteed beet greens, my first, delicious, who knew. Blood orange, roasted beets, red onion over little gem, orange marmalade dressing. Negroni and wine.

Sprayed with cooking spray, baked at 450 for 10 minutes, rotated, and 450 for 10 more (but keeping watch the last few minutes).
Was going to air fry but decided to just bake them. They were excellent.

Chuck eye is the ‘poor man’s’ rib-eye. The chuck part is nice and beefy, and the rib part… well. Delicious in its own way.

Unfortunately the nearest TJ is another 15 minutes past the Korean grocery. My fault for moving farther out away from the city, 20+ years ago, to get away from some of the congestion.
I just want to have my cake, and eat it, too.

Maybe it is the peas! Over the past few years, I’ve found that frozen corn packaged as “ corn” is dry and starchy, like feed corn. I now only buy “ super sweet corn” which cooks and tastes like corn cut off the cob.
The petite peas at Trader Joe’s are my favorite. They cook quickly and are sweet and tender.
