Funny
I’m several months out from it now, the only flavors I detect are lemon and raw onion. Also the cocktail sauce that came with my shrimp martini. Just about everything tastes like cardboard. I’ve been on the wagon in2023 to stop my alcohol consumption but this is so depressing IDK if I can surrender enjoyment of 2 pleasures. At least alcohol registers right now.
that sounds very unpleasant, i totally understand the depression and not wanting to give up something you can actually taste. Self-care is important, in any form. Really hope it passes soon for you.
Have you explored steroid treatment? There are some studies showing it might help with olfactory loss.

That sea bass… >swoon<
That all sounds and looks so good!
thanks! (I deleted it from here, though, and moved it to the December thread.)
'twas. (moved to December thread.)
A friend went through olfactory retraining after completely losing her sense of taste from COVID (the original round). Might be worth asking your doctor if it’s an option for you.

But true!
I’ve been making a similar enchilada casserole, with chicken and green salsa, for years. Funny, we don’t eat it for dinner. I portion and freeze it, and my kid takes it for lunch. He nukes it there. He’s never been a big sandwiches fan. Very handy!
I use to buy corned beef briskets the day after St Paddy’s day when they were on sale and turned them into pastrami. Been awhile, my wife no longer wants to eat meat
How’s that been going? I think I saw where you mentioned that elsewhere.
I’ve mentioned this previously but we eat a lot of fish these days and living on Clearwater Beach we found a fantastic place to find fresh fish. This fish market supplies a local seafood restaurant chain called Frenchy’s. Lots of local fish, like multiple types of grouper as well as Mahi right off the boat as well as others like non local salmon that quality wise beats anything I’ve ever had from other seafood markets.
Outside of that we found a condo a few doors down from where we are renting to buy. Will close in about a month. Went from a 4000 sq ft home to just under 2000 sq ft condo for that cost more than my house
