Seems to be Dutch colonization that spread the rose cookies around the world, which is interesting because I wouldn’t associate them with deep frying, but maybe that was an adaptation from India or SE Asia in the absence of ovens. Still wondering how they ended up in Bihar, maybe via Bengal.
