Oooo anime! Sailor Moon was insanely popular. Now I wanna watch Hetalia: Axis Powers. I generally have cdc pick out stuff from Barnes and Noble for good reasons. He picked out Avatar the Last Airbender for us and it is so hard to stop at one episode but this way we have so much more to look forward to. Oh my gosh. Love Save the Last Dance for Me. Thank you. Think I will play that one now as a present to myself. Not about dancing but Stephen King is to blame for lodging this firmly in my very small brain. It was mentioned in Hearts in Atlantis. For quite awhile I sang this song at dusk pretty much no matter where I was at the time. The line between what is appropriate in public is very blurry for some of us. If I smoked I woulda needed a cigarette last night. Amazing and fun experience. So grateful. My parents’ dive bar had a live band on saturdays and my SO and I would go without fail and dance our asses off. They had quite a mix of songs they played and they were the puppet masters. The leader Herman was pure evil which I loved, He would make us move fast and then slow us way down. People have strong opinions about music. Sorry to be capt. obvious here but it can invoke the past much like food. Metallica: Master of Puppets was one people loved. I tried to talk to my girlfriend who I have known since middle school about Metallica and she proudly pronounced “I don’t listen to head banger music.”. It was lucky that this interaction took place on the phone. I can imagine the look on my face as I felt this canyon open up between us. To me it was like interacting with someone two generations apart. Then again I have always disliked dismissiveness. I got off that phone faaast.
Whenever I hear the song Recking Ball, I no longer think of Miley Cyrus but rather of Anne Hathaway giving Emily Blunt the split peace sign on Lip Sync Battle.

Ha ha ha. But you were the muse. You walked over to me as I was sitting there all innocent like, bent your knees slightly and held out your hand politely asking me to dance. And dance we did. Then more joined in and it was magical. I generally try not to do revisionist history but I am learning how much fun it can be. Hey you started it and I am very grateful. For realz.
