What’s on your mind?

About to pop my cherry on a smart phone. Waaa whimper whine. I am skeered and feel like I will be losing what little of my soul I have left. Dunno if you are a star trek fan or not but one of the greatest badasses is the collective borg. When the whole no pics things comes up I always mutter “resistance is futile.” I Will be assimilated. I don’t even have a regular phone just the amazing Magicjack. But cdc keeps needing text capability so I might be getting his pricey 200.00 phone when he gets a new one. Thinking of asking Jim Leff for advice if I haven’t pissed him off. I do enjoy having someone to argue with and I gave him some shit today. If I ever get a phone you people are all in trouble.

Eye rolling is how Conan gets his exercise. His face reminds me of this guy. Conan does this in RL. My man The Ferret that master of being polyamorous has a wife who is my polar opposite. Never met her in RL but I read her religiously just to get a different take on things. She finally went offline I think. A shame. https://video.search.yahoo.com/search/video?fr=yfp-t-s&ei=UTF-8&p=rorschach+watchmen#id=4&vid=150cd5c7911998f1191d73bcf73e986e&action=click

Is Jim Left a cell phone savant?
Why would you ask his advice?
There’s either Apple iOS or Android.
Pretty simple once you figure out your needs and wants.
Here in the mountains the carrier’s towers are much more important than which phone is used.
But you should get an iphone,

It is very impressive that you broke in your pan. Small pizza later tonite on my pan. Going to drench myself in wine and fireflies now. The night calls.

Eeep. Well Jim was selling a phone awhile back. Prolly long gone. I am so clueless. That meanie Jim refused to sell me his Miata that he never drives. Told him he was gonna get frame rot. Oh god I hate automatics so much.

Come on over to the other side. :smiling_imp:

A smartphone was once my life’s blood but not so much since I rarely leave the house or office anymore. Now daze I’d be in seizures without iPads.

Bring it on. :men_wrestling:

Thanks but it is unlikely I will ever buy a new car again. I managed to buy a used manual neon in bright red thanks to the help of a gaming friend (all my friends are gamers). Way back in the day when more people drove manuals the used ones were beat to shit. The drivers broke in the cars wrong and could not do a nice clean H if their lives depended on it. Shifting on the diagonal was sad but not as sad as automatics. Things changed and only the people who knew how to drive manuals used them. How I loved that car. A lyft driver pulled out directly in front of me and then stopped. He had a stop sign. Lyft drivers have good insurance but the insurance company decided to total the car because of it’s low value. The day I had to leave my little car at the auto repair place to be picked up by the scrappers was the last time so far that I really cried. But thanks anyway and thanks for the Rocky and Bullwinkle pic. Here is one for you https://video.search.yahoo.com/search/video?fr=yfp-t-s&ei=UTF-8&p=Bluey+the+creek#id=1&vid=780c9f3412187c519ff32acce7bfb70b&action=click

Oh yeah? I am still winning the fajita pan challenge I think. I keep mentioning Jim Leff but he had to get bifocals because he opens his phone 190 times a day. And last night my friend Dave who I finally forgave typed that he might have to get Another cortisone shot because his scrolling is hurting his thumbs. I am sitting here typing on a desktop. I need a desktop for gaming as doing battle with the seven lords of hell is a tough gig.

Oo thank you. My best friend from high school who I had not heard from in years said pretty much the same thing a few months ago.

Just had my first post flagged and removed here. Wonder which community guidelines I may have crossed, but perhaps it’s time to pop the champagne? Any first should be enough reason for celebration, me thinks :upside_down_face:  :love_you_gesture: :dancer: :man_dancing: :champagne: :champagne: :champagne: :clinking_glasses: :clinking_glasses: :clinking_glasses:

ETA: And three whole days after posting! Do comments get more offensive over time, like a good cheese? :cheese: :cheese: :cheese:

Congratulations. Practice makes perfect and now that you have the rock rolling keep it moving. Success is usually finding what works and just repeating it.

Over the years I’ve learned a few tips about being offensive. Don’t just settle on your first draft. Reject it and keep refining. And don’t go for the easy cliche or the banal stereotypes as those aren’t offensive they’re just annoying. In a word it is lazy writing. Dig deeper and go for what is genuinely shocking and unexpected. Then and only then will you have done some good offending.

What a great comment. Have not seen the word banal in quite awhile. Unexpected is life.

Cdc and I made late night pizza in ta da! My fajita pan. Perfect. It is hot and I can be lazy. Still de stressing from that raid on Wegmans yesterday. Way too peoply. But I got wegmans pizza dough and wegmans pizza sauce and wegmans moz cheese. We just used a little oil on the bottom of the fajita pan and the bottom of the pie was golden and tasty as I had hoped. The pan forces us to make a small pie so we don’t end up with too much pizza. That being said (and how I hate that phrase) cdc ended up making a second pie which I abstained from but now we have breakfast.

been in a grateful mood today and my my mom and grandmothers always stressed a genuine thank you note. Love your use of the word savant. I am having so much fun getting to know you. Thank you. As far as I know I have only interacted with one savant. I met him through gaming (big surprise) and he barely missed being valedictorian an had to settle for second. His spec was achingly good at english and math. I am drawn to really smart people like a moth to a flame. I try to include at least one banal cliche in every post. I had a small crush on him but had to throttle any full blown crush. For both our sakes trust me. He was so wild when we first met. Very long hair. It was not lost on me that long hair is associated with magic. Ulp. He kicked my ass on the regular. In cards. Was painful to watch as life filed away at all his delightful rough edges. His name was Matt an besides his juggernaut of an intellect life did not give him everything. Who gets that? Homely, zero social skills nasty temper etc. He went on to get a degree in Actuarial science which lead to me almost doing a spiit take all over my draft cards. It was just some random comment he made about “unless my math is off?” It has been said that actuarial science is the hardest math they is. Thank you for reminding me of him today with your great choice of words. https://etchedactuarial.com/actuarial-science/
