What’s on your mind?

Oh blah blah blah about your fancy oversized fajita sizzlers. I hope your plastic things melt. :triumph:

The DD’s are my two daughters, #1 and #2, born 5 years apart, knowing a lot already. By their teens, they knew everything LOL. Your food sounds delicious, hope you enjoy.

I’m not putting you anywhere except the good punctuation category! You live rent free in my head now, reminding me not to use ellipses. Can you please perch on my shoulder to ensure I don’t overuse exclamation marks like a silly school person? Thank you @small_h.

After reading that the universe is expanding in all directions then any one point is considered the center. I looked up and told my daughter I was wrong. She actually is the center of the universe.

I had to cut back on them too. :pensive:

I feel I may have done what I was put on this earth to do. And I hope your head has a nice view!

Yes, I think so. You’re right up there with Lynn Truss IMO. I’m kind of sad, because the ellipse was my favorite punctuation mark, well maybe tied with the exclamation point. But where would I be without the humble comma?
Yes, good view most of the time.

Oh yes, they are, and you’ll never forget lest they remind you ffs!

Are we talking kids or punctuation marks?
Asking for a friend.

Haha, I don’t know! They’re both important and sometimes it’s hard to choose! Bad/no punctuation leaves me so confused, truly a pet peeve. Actually the DD’s are great! I’m sure you’ve had some similar parenting experiences. It reminds me of the Mark Twain quote about at 18, he knew everything, but his father knew nothing. Yet, at 21, he was surprised at how much his father had learned. It’s like that.

I am leaving. It’s been grand.

Thanks for clarifying and thanks for the compliment. A small pizza on the cast iron maybe tonight. Loving the pan because it is cast iron but small so light weight. I fell to some aldi and lidl non stick cast iron pots and pans but I have to be so careful not to scratch the non stick. They are pretty though. Some blue, mostly red. The DDs sound like every generation. I knew it all also at that age. Now not so much…

Ha ha ha ha. Listen you. If you can get to Philly for an overnight trip I can drive to your house. You can’t be that far away. You are just jealous that you didn’t get as good a deal. Your little handle mittens are very cute though. Philly has a chinatown very close to the RTM. Cannot believe you have never heard of the RTM though. They close early but have everything. Cdc and I used to go to the Convention Center for card tourneys and would always visit RTM. We used to stand right in the middle of the bustling crowd and scream real loud “there is nothing good here Where is the Mc Doooonalds?” Everyone completely ignored us. One of the things I love about Philly.

Respectfully will use his pan soon I bet. Probably sometime in 2025. I wish I did not hate the sound of a cork popping. I miss out on so much sparkling wine. I do not mind when someone else does it. Conan would open my champagne with aplomb but would claim at least 65 percent of it. He is over three hundred pounds though and I know that I cannot drink him under the table. I can barely handle popping tubes of dough like for croissants.

I convinced cdc that today was the day to make our annual pilgrimage to Whole Paycheck. I like the little pub there. Plus they give free samples if you ask. I miss going to bars and this place is like bar light. My needs were ministered to by the same lovely lady who was there last year and the year before. After two meh samples I chose a strawberry hard cider that went down smooth on a hot day. Not too many people to watch this time as we went around 8 pm. Thus fortified (okay I am a light weight these days) I crept around and looked at stuff. I coulda got the salad bar or an entree plus two sides from the deli. There was lovely looking rare roast beef to be had but I wanted to nab some items instead. Pre sliced gouda, jarred tomato sauce, wheat sandwich bread and a small frozen chicken pot pie. We had Wegmans strawberry cake at home with blueberries to add but cdc chose a chocolate peanut butter cupcake which he loved and also a chocolate parfait. I got refrigerated fettucine to cook soon with some jarred creamy sauce from tjs and leftover scallops maybe with more fajita vegetables. Two new to me cans of hard cider. It was lovely sitting in the outdoor eating area watching the sun set and having a little bit of cdc’s desserts. Plus Harley could be with us as WF is very dog friendly. Wegmans has no dogs allowed signs at their outdoor food court but sometimes I sneak Harley in. Odd to think that WF has a bit of ambience but this one did. Now to use my new sizzler cast iron pan to pan roast some vegetables.

I have swordfish marinading so maybe today. :man_dancing:t3:

Hmmm…have you tried draping a towel over the cork when opening? After removing the wire cage I fold a towel over the cork and hold the free ends against the neck with my hand. Then slowly work the cork off. The towel muffles the :boom: and prevents a runaway cork.

You’re wrong, you lop!

Predictable reply I know.

I mean, I have no problem with healthy discussion. It’s when people take things personally and get personal. Over dumb shit. Meh.
