What’s on your mind?

I saw Johnny’s Lamborghini at our local grocery store one time when he used to hang out up here.
Does that count?

I think I am weird until I watch Court TV. Just like I used to think my house was awful until I watched that British show with the two women. Durn my house is great- I clean it every week. Some people on that show had not cleaned for years.

Yes, it can really put things into perspective, right?

I used to think I was OCD until I worked with PhD’s in chemical laboratory. One guy hardly ever got any test results out because he went back to check his method and data at least 10 times. I thought I was bad checking stuff once or twice- heck no.

As I walked through a parking lot I saw a guy sitting in his car talking on his cellphone. Then I watched him exit and walk to the rear of his car to look and then reenter his car. A minute or so later he would exit to look again and kept iterating.

I approached to offer help and he handed me his cell phone. On the other end of the call was his psychiatrist who explained his patient was having an episode and asked that I not assist him because he needed to work it out.

I certainly have some OCD, ADD (and some plain old *-hole) disorders, but that poor old soul was dealing with some disabling ones.

Well I am not trying to be ugly here but some of the younglings I worked with just fell apart over the smallest thing. I thought my god what is going to happen if they lose a job, a parent dies, a child dies, or they get sick. I would try to help them with perspective and they would say “But Kelly you are old.” Heck yeah but I am a survivor! I always told them about the time I was on strip site and got a knife held to my neck and I backed the guy down. They absolutely could not comprehend that. LOL They would say but that isn’t right or fair. I would say baby dolls life isn’t right or fair. You got to play the hand you are dealt.

Since Sunday lunch will be rather easy- just NY strips and baked potatoes, looking forward to spending the day putting out mineral for the cattle and going up in the woods on the other farm to look for ladyslippers and white trillum. Angus, the Lab, is 9 months old today. He has a NY strip for his lunch today too,

I enjoyed putting out mineral blocks because I liked their smell and the cattle’s curiosity as they followed me. They can be so impatient. :joy:

I don’t want to muddy the water by asking where this took place, but it is totally outrageous. Anyone with an IQ over 89 ought to be able to figure out $6 from what they heard. My French pronunciation is would be unintelligible to a purist but serves me well with those with open ears.

A friend quoted his officer in Vietnam saying, “These farm boys know how to do things.” in response to getting results with scant supply.

Addendum, husband brought up in a small western town is capable in many fields. As he puts it, it was expected that you were a jack of all trades, and to be incompetent was to be ridiculed.

Along with the trilliums, look for ramps, though their season may be over for you warmer climate folk. We’ve been eating them daily for the past two weeks.

Surprised to see Denmark, Switzerland, and Austria on it, but not Germany. Huh.

Germany came in a respectable 17.

11 Singapore
12 Japan
13 Finland
14 Norway
15 Sweden
16 Australia
17 Croatia
17 Germany
19 Hungary
20 Belgium

Dang. I meant to give attribution in the original message. My mistake.
