What Fast Food Chain Do You Love?

Group think and cognitive dissonance runs rampant here. Differences are non existent or considered bad in these minds. This group also proves the saying “strain at a gnat but swallow a camel” perfectly. Entertaining I must say. Gives me admiration for Mrs, Cedarberg my second grade teacher.

I think I reviewed the ingredients list once and found this can’t be true…but it’s been a while.

For whatever reason, this scene popped into the noggin:

Perhaps a food board frequented by ID folks and flat earthers might be more to your liking.

Participation amongst us heathens/people who follow science remains completely voluntary, btw

I’ve become a fan of ordinary liquid honey on plain fried chicken, nuggets and tiropita. But I do like sweet and salty things. I’ve always liked honey garlic wings and ribs.

I rather have fried chicken without waffles than fried chicken & waffles.

I’m not a big fan of waffles, pancakes or French toast, with or without fried chicken.

I’ve seen some trendy /posh pizzas with hot honey but I haven’t tried it.

I like fried chicken. I like waffles. But not together. Maybe because I prefer waffles with butter and maple syrup and don’t want either of them near my fried chicken?

I just don’t like waffles enough to eat them. I like maple syrup a lot.

I’ll even take a tablespoon of maple syrup straight from a spoon.

Growing up we had waffles (and sausage) every Sunday. I don’t have them often anymore, but since I still have mom and she still has the waffle iron she received as a wedding gift . . .

Really? It’s a very prevalent myth then.

I do find that it’s a trick that’s becoming more commonplace. I’m thinking of Superiority Burger’s take on a vegan chicken sandwich that pickle brines the tofu before the fry. i’ve made their recipe a few times and it’s damn good.

Or, the french fries that were featured at Al’s Place.

Aww, c’mon. Everyone loves the new guy in the office who comes in to tell them all how wrong they are. Takes “don’t yuck my yum” to a whole 'nother level.

ETA: Or perhaps “Judge not lest ye be judged” is more apropos

So, favorite fast food restaurants…

I’m also a fan of Wendy’s, In-N-Out and Fosters Freeze!

I have an aversion to milkshake-type drinks (long story, probably told by me on anther thread).

But I did see today (can’t find a link now) that they’re discontinuing their side garden salad. Apparently my mom was one of the few who preferred this to their fries.

Who, Wendy’s? I thought they discontinued all their small salads a couple of years ago… at least the one in Long Beach did.

They still have other side options, like a cup of chili or baked potatoes.

Guys, can we please get back to the original topic? FFS…:woman_facepalming:t2:

Ooops, my bad. I confused Wendy’s and CFA. It’s CFA that’s discontinuing the salad (https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/chick-fil-alarms-customers-news-164552442.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall . . . the link was easier to find when I used the correct restaurant).

My default at both spots is the spicy chicken sandwich (plain). But I should have known better . . . mom doesn’t do Wendy’s

Ah, that makes sense. I’m not familiar with CFA – I’ve eaten there once just to see what all the hype is about, and I didn’t think it was anywhere near as good as Wendy’s Spicy Chicken. I also have no desire to try it again because I find CFA’s politics to be repugnant.

Wendy’s Spicy Nuggets are also a favorite!
