What Fast Food Chain Do You Love?

This, to me, is the correct take. I’m familiar with the establishment in question.

And lord knows Columbia doesn’t always do the “right” thing (I was a proud occupier of Hamilton Hall, back in the day), but they do eventually, usually, come around.

Thank you – we do not know the location, so wrote about one or more of our locals.

(Both of our Lions were Varsity C to boot.)

My dad and my husband went to Columbia (not at the same time, obs) ! And to make this about food… they both ate nearby!

BTW I did own a building two blocks away and Columbia University did buy it. You see when Rockefeller Center was built the Rockefeller family gave the land to Columbia as a gift. Fast forward to the 90’s Rock Center was sold and Columbia got a billion $$$ for the land , invested the $$ and they have this massive building fund ever since.

The Long John Silvers closest to me just shut it’s doors, again.

I’m a fish guy and would go 2-3 times a year. They used cod and cooked it to order with the extra few minutes baffling the minds of people who want everything now. ( I want an Oompaloompa and I want it now! )

I went about six months ago and they switched to white fish, probably pollock and never went back.

Atlantic cod is great. Pollock is meh.

Have you had ling? Fried ling is killer. We call them mud marlin. They are pretty much gone from overfishing but sometimes they stack up on wrecks.

I’ve had the Gulf version which is called cobia in most states but ling en Tejas. It’s been a special at Red Snapper Inn in Surfside a few times fried and incredible.

I caught a 37 incher in the Gulf once, put up a great fight but the minimum is 40 inches, tough to throw back such a delicious and hard fighting fish, but hey, I’m no poacher.

We also caught two keeper king mackerel and maybe a hundred red snapper all just below except five keepers. We are not poachers.

Another cute McRib article.

Cobia are great eating fish. We get them up here once in a while on menus. They aren’t ling though. Maybe in Spanish they call them ling. Cobia ribs are killer. They are just like they sound, big fish ribs.

Ok without cheating and looking online, who can guess the only 2 states that will not offer the mc rib? I just ran across an article Google sent me. It is disturbing how much Google stalks you! Guess your two states and in a week I will post the answer.

I read that so I’ll defer, but I would say that author might read this forum… :cowboy_hat_face:
