I just saw Crime 101 on Amazon Prime and really enjoyed it.
Et! I think I might like Elspeth! Why didn’t anyone tell me? Is this network television, or is it one of my many subscriptions Says “KOVRD”
It’s a CBS show.
Anyone watching the Homicide series on Netflix? It’s produced by Dick Wolf. So far one season was in LA, two in New York. I really like it.
He’s a nasty mofo, that one ![]()
Yes! It is particularly enjoyable for me since leaving cooking behind I now work in a related role and really appreciate that it highlights the passion, dedication, humanity and motivation of the investigators and prosecutors.
I’ve watched all the new seasons of Elsbeth and it’s fun but getting a bit repetitive. She was a character on the Good Fight (and maybe on the Good wife which I’ve never watched) and I really enjoyed the good fight so started up with new show. I hardly watch anything on network tv but it’s well done and quirky and good actors around her. I need to catch up with this season. I’m not used to shows having 20 episodes!
Yes, she started on the Good Wife, then recurred on the Good Fight (along with a handful of others who showed up on the successor show).
I loved the first two seasons of the comeback and going to wait for Hacks to come back on to re up my hbo. Also love the Gilded Age but that seems to be taking forever to come back to our screens.
Yeah the sassy legal assistant, Marissa, showed up this season and I keep hoping for a Christine Baranski or Cush Jumbo or Audra MacDonald drop in. Michael Sheen was really unhinged and would love to see him.
We really liked the quirky character and watched the first season religiously, but now it’s really very repetitive and one-dimensional most of the time. Gave up on it a couple of episodes ago.
Yeah my husband nixed it after the first season and I watch on my iPad while I’m making dinner but haven’t watched any new episodes for awhile. It’s kind of the same thing every week.
I posted about The Madison a while ago and have been wondering why it hasn’t gotten much interest here or on a couple of other sources I follow. The best I can figure is that it’s so very different from what Taylor Sheridan is known for, and isn’t very plot-driven, so people aren’t reacting well. We found the writing and most of the acting well done and the story simple but moving. As I said earlier, maybe we just needed something more emotional than exciting. Hmmmmmm.
Yeah. I’m just catching up on the current season and I’m almost over it.
It has a Monk music vibe!
Monk music vibe?
Yeah; I can’t describe it well. On Monk episodes there would be this peppy music playing as the story unfolds, when there is no dialogue as characters go about solving crimes.
ETA Oops! Monk the TV sleuth, not Thelonius Monk!.
We liked the Madison. Just waiting for the next episode.
I‘m also waiting for the next episodes of Dark Winds and Mystery Road: Origin.
Dark Winds is the best!!!
I just finished watching the excellent 2nd season of Malpractice on Hulu. I was only going to watch one episode, but ended up binge watching the last 3 episodes ![]()
Had to look that up. Yikes! My heart is pounding just reading (one version of) what it’s 'about. ![]()
I’m going to stick to shows about lawyers for now.
