Almost as weak as the second season’s “narrative,” which seemed to make one point, and one point only.
At least the cast was better in S3.

Yes, which was why I was confused. It’s the point of the show. That and (in addition to men are pigs, and women are also pigs - let’s not leave them out), money trumps morality every time. The prostitutes (all three of them) did not come off particularly well, either.

I have no recollection of any Australian guy in S2. But that’s entirely on me & my limited capacity to retain the plot or cast of anything for longer than 24 hours.

I thought she was faking the whole conversation with her mother actually – because it sounded totally fake. To prevent her brother from staying on.
That has been speculated elsewhere. But I kind of doubt it.
Also, it was kind of obvious that the kid was going to drink the rest of the poison seed stuff when dad washed all the glasses but looked at the blender with plenty of residue and just left it there.

I loved enlightened and and made it through the first two seasons of White Lotus but didn’t bother with this one. People on the show, especially the families are just so unpleasant and I wonder if Mike White might benefit from bringing in some other writers.
I’m not opposed to unpleasantness, I loved/love succession and righteous gemstones, but his people just get on my last nerve.
