What are you listening to?

The sad thing is that I was amazed that a Southern place like Chorltonville actually had that many people come out to watch a black woman play gospel/proto rock and roll in 1964. I thought it had to be a trains station down South, right?
I was wrong.
This was an abandoned trains station in England that had been converted to a music venue.

whatā€™s it doing on a MT hotel webpage?

Livingston is a pretty laid back town. Jimmy Buffet used to stay in Livingston and Sam Peckinpah, the director of the Wild Bunch and The Killer Elite, lived in the Murray for a couple years. The Murrayā€™s Facebook page is a mix of whatever the employees want to put on it, apparently. Mostly supporting a local artist/photographer but there is other stuff mixed in.

Drinking songsā€¦ I actually have a hard time naming a few?! Songs on drugs, on the other handā€¦

Oh, I was just trying to start up a more themed threadā€¦or subthread if you will. I bet we could go on for days with both booze & drug songs, for sure!

Yeah, I (we) like themed threads. We did one a while ago on breaking hearts I believe. Let me post another drugs song while I think hard about drinking songsā€¦

When I was playing your Nina Hagen song I immediately thought about that book! Read it a long time ago, as a teenager.
