I listened to 4 Ween videos and I swear it was like listening to 4 different bands. Those guys define eclectic. I like how one of the videos found the owner of their hometowns record store.

Wasn’t each of their album a concept album, so to speak? A buddy of mine was a huge fan, but I’m not familiar with a lot of their stuff - just a few select tunes like the one @chienrouge posted.

My mom was a child of the 50s, so I grew up around a lot of doo wop bubblegum pop and such. Still better than Abba or 70s disco, which I never got into.

I had a best of 50s & 60s collection that included this, and many more. Amy’s version is also fire.

I met Johnny - nice man. He invited us kids into his tour bus on a snowy night. Probably weighed all of 100 lbs at the time. Boy could he play.

My favorite hotel in the States, the Murray in Livingston MT, had this video on their Facebook page.

I have not heard Sister Rosetta Tharpe in years.
Cool video. There is a longer version with her arriving in a horse drawn carriage but this starts after she got out.

Love the airplane, somehow nowhere near enough current glory compared to what they deserve for so many great songs albums and special talents

The sad thing is that I was amazed that a Southern place like Chorltonville actually had that many people come out to watch a black woman play gospel/proto rock and roll in 1964. I thought it had to be a trains station down South, right?
I was wrong.
This was an abandoned trains station in England that had been converted to a music venue.

what’s it doing on a MT hotel webpage?
