It seems for better or worse, the Grateful Dead took the mantle of Haight Ashbury into the 70s and beyond but still a lot of treasure there apart from them. And yeah the Airplane has a lot of good records by my count in my collection. I also like their Surrealistic Pillow, Volunteers and Crown of Creation.
Iām always reminding some of my friends of the cool early Steve Miller Band Stuff, pre-Steve Perry Journey (yes a Santana/Steve Miller spin off band), to say nothing of the earlier groups Quicksilver, Flaminā Groovies, Big Brother and the Holding Co and seriously huge acts like Sly, CCR and moreā¦ rock on!
