Cool. It’s a good day for rock and roll !
High School for me. The Chambers Brothers was the first show I ever saw at the Filmore East. The other 2 bands were Blood, Sweat & Tears (unfortunately, David Clayton Thomas had just taken over and Al Kooper wasn’t there) & The Amboy Dukes (Ted Nugent).
Yeah, but do you have the Joshua Light Show? All you need are some Petri dishes and colored food dyes.
Fun Fact: Nugent never used any drugs. Crazy enough without them. Even worse now.
Haha old school
Yeah he’s pretty horrid !
Was listening to Tom Morello on his SiriusXM show. Apparently he is very anti drugs and his one experience was accidental when he was given a cookie that was laced with something that had him tripping out. The long delayed reunion tour just came through NYC. I bought tickets for the concert at MSG right before the lockdown started for the August 2020 show. Took two years to happen. He and Rage have one of the best songs that I think was ever written.
Loved to play this on guitar hero
Interesting. Gotta listen to that.
Another anti-drug guy was Zappa. I’m pretty sure he didn’t need any.
Oh wow, remember very well when this came out… And still sounds very fresh.
Well he did smoke cigarettes, probably the most dangerous drug ever invented. But yeah to your point no other inspirato needed for his creativity.
Somehow Captain Beefheart claimed he was clean too.
Anyways 2 mad geniuses.
I think I’m goin with jimmy on that one
Really like Carl Wilson’s version but I’m also going with Ronnie (I can hear music)
Carl is pretty awesome tho
It has always sucked that Bruce didn’t get inducted in the RRHoF.
Yeah that one makes no sense at all
But what he has is better than any bs HOF.
Lots of other snubs too.
I was thinking of Ian Hunter listening to those Mott records and he’s got some great solo albums too w Mick Ronson who is also pretty great.
He’s not in the hall but I’m a fan
