Love BST’s first album with Al. It is an all time favorite.

I was a sophomore in high school. They blew my mind.

Oh yeah !! Big time. Them and Joan Jett rocked my adolescent world. Add Carrie fisher and Olivia newton john for good measure.

Adventures in Babysitting was at our local art film theatre and of course Elizabeth Shue is awesome but hell Albert collins has a great music cameo in that flick too. I love him.

Yes, probably my favorite album of all time. Well, one of them.
In 1994, I attended Al Kooper’s 50th Birthday Party Concert at The Bottom Line in NYC. He did 3 sets: first, with the ex-members of The Blues Project & 3rd with his pick up band (with Joe Walsh playing lead guitar). The 2nd set was with what he called the “Child is Father to the Man” Band. He had given up rights to the BS&T name, but most of the members were there with him playing that 1st album. I got a t-shirt. And a great memory.

Its turning into an Al Kooper thread (not that that’s a bad thing), so here’s some more: he was on stage with Dylan at the famous Newport concert where Dylan was boo’ed. I’ve heard that he said (in some interview or other) that the boo’ing wasn’t due to Dylan playing electric, but because it was a short set. I don’t think so, but what do I know?

Well, if Al Kooper is involved with any music, the odds are overwhelmingly that it will be terrific. Ah, Super Session.
