If you want to talk about pop 70s sax the conversation starts and ends here! Don’t touch that dial !
This one is pretty dope too tho
Watched Labyrinth last weekend…miss him.
The GOAT.
I’m a fan. Also love labyrinth (and dark crystal) !
He gave this song to Mott the Hoople, a solid band. Shades of Spinal Tap indeed.
I was lucky enough to catch him live a few times - my first show ever in '87 was a big festival that also included Eurythmics, Bob Geldof & the Boomtown Rats, Thompson Twins, Echo & The Bunnymen, UB40. I was the only one of my friends allowed to go
Then I caught him again for an open air show at Lorelei, along with Iggy Pop, Ramones & The The, Heather Nova, Pulp, Bad Religion, Frank Black, and a bunch of other bands I can’t remember now (certainly dating myself here).
Last time was the Sound & Vision tour at a large arena.
Lookin forward to his show at the Greek Sunday…

A friend turned me on to Lords of Huron. Really great mellow vibe.
That’s one old shot of McKinley Morganfield, AKA Muddy waters. Now I got the Catfish Blues.
I love the Chicago electric wave. Probably the greatest era blues has experienced in terms of popularity and spreading the word. More artists than one could name. I own a lot of Dellmark albums.
good taste @DaBadger, delmark’s a solid label…i have a bunch of stuff there…played thru a few editions of the hoodoo man blues junior wells record and same with westside soul, magic sam back in the day…now they are harder to find i’m more careful cuz don’t know if i can find another copy without a huge price. Hoodoo man blues one of my favorite records of all time i love that so much i have backup copies of it now.
see tho on muddy that’s his delta roots showing thru before he made his way up the river!
I saw Mott twice, first time with Queen opening.
Talk about dating myself
ian hunter is super underrated…that must have been cool
