White men can’t rap - not even Eminem
I liked the movie 8 Mile. In fact now that Eminem has been mentioned I wouldn’t mind seeing it again. And wasn’t Kim Basinger something else. But I don’t recall Eminem being in the the tabloids much for bad behavior. From what I’ve read he went through some bad times with painkillers and uppers. But he raised his daughter through it all. And for that I have to admire the guy. But yeah: Lose Youself is a classic.
I’m not really into Rap but this is one of my favorite songs/videos: Airplanes
Waiting for some people to start the weekend… First up 2 Brazilian gems. Then 2 times 80s.
Presley heirs had a plan and it worked out with the release of the latest Elvis movie. Good movie btw. It just happened to coincide with the anniversary of his death. Yeah.
But here’s American Pie:
All artists I adore. The passing of Prine really put a dent in me. Seen him many times. Angel from Montgomery, w/Bonnie, is a tune that I can’t escape from. “the years just flowed by, like a broken down damn.”
Big a jerk as Frank Sinatra supposedly was, ever since seeing him live in '88, I can’t quit.
Great tune. Kinda beats “Heroine” out for a summer song.
Among my favorite songs.
Been a Kate Bush fan since the early 80s… Nice to see a younger generation picking up this song (Stranger Things).
That version with Bonnie is probably my favorite version. I live close to his hometown, so there are regular tributes and a mural painted after he passed.
Paradise!

God, I loved that guy.
To me the Bonnie duet is the only version. Some older live recordings of that song are just ethereal.
