Still my overall favourite Olivia Newton John track - Magic
RIP
Sorry to hear this. She had a lot of grace in the face of adversity. I always liked her - so pretty and talented. RIP Olivia. I really liked that Magic song too @Claus.

This is the way I want to remember her.
That movie gave me my first crush (besides Christopher Reeve, as Superman came out around the same time). John Travolta, not Olivia Newton-John. Fun soundtrack, too, and I still have to watch it if itās on the tube occasionally
John Mayer left a bad taste in my mouth years ago after what he said to Taylor Swift. I know they went back and forth in songs. Not that she was any saint. But after listening to the song Gravity. Youāre welcome to him. Not quite my cup of tea.
I generally give artists a pretty wide berth in their behavior, and while I think John Mayer is extremely talented, in his younger years, he was an absolute cad to many of his lovers - kiss n tell, dumping them, etc. - it always takes two to tango, but just my impression, albeit a bad one. I liked some of his music before.
2Pac - Dear Mama
I never really listened to ONJ when I was younger, but a few years ago I heard this song on the radio and instantly added it to a personal spotify playlist.
Never would have taken you for a rap / hip hop personā¦
Hi Damiano,
Iām very much into black music, including soul, R&B and hip hop.
I grew up in a āwhiteā neighbourhood and went to private school where everyone were pale white.
I needed something exotic and different in my life.
Little did I know that 10-15 years later this would come in abundances to Denmark through outside immigration.
But thatās why Iām into black music and will be so until I die.
I also find that most black musicians have a voice and rhythm white people can only dream of having.
Rakim - When I B on tha mic
Bazzi - Beautiful
Just a very nice romantic easy going pop track.
Still a black vibe going here, but definitely just a pop track. But what a nice one. You can hear thereās a bit of hip hop in this, but how nicely put this is.
Beck - Up all night in a remix by Oliver
Suck a positive vibe pop track
Too shy - Kajagoogoo
This artist Limahl was so talented and far ahead of his time. This is a classic. I still find it contemporary. What a pop track.
David44 - Stay
What an overlooked danish pop talent.
Great rhythm and nice voice.
Iām a fan. I know this guy. What a humble positive human being.
Great song indeed. Iām partial to this decade as I grew up in the 80s, but I still like to believe that a lot of 80s tracks are objectively good.
As for white vs black music, I never really think about it that way. For me itās just good music versus poor music.
ETA: letās listen to some white people rap⦠I actually like this song a lot!
White men canāt rap - not even Eminem
I liked the movie 8 Mile. In fact now that Eminem has been mentioned I wouldnāt mind seeing it again. And wasnāt Kim Basinger something else. But I donāt recall Eminem being in the the tabloids much for bad behavior. From what Iāve read he went through some bad times with painkillers and uppers. But he raised his daughter through it all. And for that I have to admire the guy. But yeah: Lose Youself is a classic.
