His outlaw buddy also had a voice that qualified as a rare musical instrument:

Always extra points for performance – sort of seeing nigel tufnel in triplicate rock guitar posture at times in the video.

From the family Aggie:

Q. How do you tell a good ole boy from a redneck?

A. The good ole boy throws the cans in the back of the pickup.

Kurt Cobain’s birthday was 20 February. I liked Nirvana, but not as much as REM at the time. Apparently he was listening to REM’s Automatic for the People the evening he committed suicide.

Also gives me the opportunity to highlight a nice Instagram page called ‘the bandwashere’, where they reconstruct famous album covers and photographs into the current day.

I have to be perfectly honest with everyone here. I had never even heard of Kurt Cobain or Nirvana until his death in 1994. Does everyone remember how it was all over the nightly news for months. Way before social media His death was the only reason I knew about Courtney Love and little Frances Bean. Guess I wasn’t into grunge at the time.

Almost 30 years ago? Same place I am now. Texas… What did I like then? A little bit of this and a little bit of that. Mostly Rock and then country later on. Music is good. No matter what kind you like, as long it keeps your toes tapping and makes you happy.:slightly_smiling_face:

I was just starting university when Nirvana hit the headlines. And as a young student with a lot of time on my hands and a love for music, I was aware of them before their debut album came out through local radio.

But there was so much music to discover at that time, including dance/house tracks, that I never really became a Nirvana fan. Of that particular grunge time period, the band that stuck with me most, was Pearl Jam.
