What are you drinking right now? (Non-alcoholic)

Your post about Athletic non-alcoholic beer sparked my curiosity. Finally gave their hazy ipa a try and was pleasantly surprised. It’s nice to know that I can still have the experience of a flavorful beer at times when I’d rather skip the alcohol. Thanks!

Glad you enjoyed it. They had a wheat brew for a while, like a Blue Moon, which was my fav but it has been discontinued.

Venti (!, $5.60 CAD !! ) iced half sweet Passion Tea Lemonade at Starbucks.

I like it better than any of the newer cold fruity drinks they have marketed over the past 14 years. :joy:

I tried the Iced Pumpkin Chai last week which wasn’t pretty good for a Pumpkin Spice Seasonal /Limited Time feature.

I can’t stand the apple lattes at Starbucks.

I’m also a sucker, so I’ll try almost anything once.

The most dangerously rad sparkling water ever.

:joy:

One Starbucks flat white, followed by an indie coffee shop cappuccino a couple hours later.

I tried this today. Tastes vaguely vegetable-y, but it’s so pretty …

(avoid their cherry cola)

Thank you. And I love cherry cola, especially a local brand that isn’t produced anymore. It was iconic. I miss it!

I was pretty disappointed. I gave the rest of my 4 pack to a friend who likes almost everything and he agreed they were not good. LOL.

Tried the Athletic NA IPA recently, deliciously bitter and good with food

Also Lagunitas’ Hoppy Refresher, much lighter with a hint of citrus. 0 calories vs 70 in the IPA.

0 calories - sounds unlikely, some of the hops and malts should give some calories

ETA - just saw that the refresher isn’t a NA beer but hop water

Hop waters are getting really popular for the last 1-2 years - many breweries have them now available. It’s often a nice way to sample the “pure” flavor of hops

Coke still makes Cherry Coke. And if there are any Jewish delis near you, Dr. Brown’s Black Cherry is great (though it’s not a cherry cola).

The measure for cherry soda (not cola) around these parts was Suburban Club Almond Smash. I think Pepsi owned the brand at the end — it was really a local bottling company, and brand (there were other flavors, including 2 ginger ales) but production ceased around 2015 - the last iteration was 2 liter plastic bottles only. Entreaties to revive the soda fell on deaf ears. Since our Jewish delis have disappeared, too, I’ll check in some family groceries; I know that there a places that carry Dr Brown’s.

It’s the season. I stayed drinking Frappé.

I can only drink around 6 ounces of cherry soda or grape soda. I get tired of it.

No problem finishing a cherry Coke or a lemon Coke.

I usually buy the glass bottles of Coke Classic that are smaller, anyhow.

Have you tried adding maraschino cherry juice from the jar to a Coke Classic?

Today I had a Fever Tree ginger ale after finishing my gardening.

Fever Tree ginger ale has resided in Casa Meekah’s refrigerator for a long time now. I like the little bottles; the even tinier cans are just right for a nice serving over ice. I keep a couple of Mexican Cokes in the fridge for medicinal purposes, just like ginger ale.

I occasionally (like very couple of years) want a grape soda, so I pick up a single one from the cold case in the grocery. I don’t drink either the Coke or the grape soda as a thirst-quencher.

Love those! I used to live in a Greek neighborhood in New York, and I had a couple of go-to places I’d get them when the weather got hot.

I started drinking them in 2003. I basically drink them daily from St Paddy’s until Halloween. LOL

Sketo me gala lately (no sugar, just milk)
