Agreed, in fact after I check for free shipping or shipping deals, I throw away the newsletter unread – his sanctimony is just too hard to take. Lately though, we find ourselves getting many spices from The Spice House, another mailorder outfit with similar products, minus the politics. Owned by Bill’s sister, I believe. What we especially like, is that we can get their “flatpacks” with free shipping, which is very handy if we only need one or two items, and don’t want to pay for Penzey’s pricey shipping. Also, there are a couple of items (smoked paprika in particular) where theirs is better than Penzey’s.
