Walking shoes and running shoes you love

LOL I have some of their recovery slides, and they feel great. Problem is, they are THE ugliest shoes I’ve ever owned. Got the wrong color, big time.

I’ve never been able to wear flip flops. The toe thing hurts!

Mrs. P and I both wear Brooks (Ghost for her and Glycerin for me). They are as light as a feather and very comfortable. I also like the fact that mine came in a wide, since the regular size squishes my toes together. We pair them with Bombas socks, which are very soft (and even come with a left and right sock). They have a seamless toe (which I prefer) and honeycomb arch support.
I wear my Brooks on the treadmill, and for daily chores like grocery shopping. I pretty much wear them for everything except when dining out.

Mrs. P wears Fitflops around the house, something like this. She thinks they are very comfortable.

This are so Mrs P! Thanks for the suggestion.

Your’re welcome. Mrs. P has an older model that is not quite as sparkly :grinning: You mentioned you like flip flops and you might like these. They also have less sparkly designs :slightly_smiling_face:

Thank you. I’ve already bookmarked a few pairs I’m interested in getting.

I went to Marathon Sports today. Told them my issue, and asked to try on the Hoka Clifton 9, Hoka Bondi, and the Brooks Ghost Max 2.

The Brooks won, hands down (or feet down?) after taking only 3-4 steps. SUPER comfortable. And they were marked down to $119.95 from $150, because the Ghost Max 3’s are coming out, so they’re cleaning out inventory. If these work out well over the next week, I’ll buy another pair as a spare.

I looked at the Oofos Slides they had. Yeah, nope. With arthritis on the top of my foot, the slides don’t make sense. Going to check out the Archies flip flops for indoors.

I’m so glad that you liked the Brooks. They are so light and have great support.
