I hope this doesn’t sound too ignorant. I always have a lot leftover broth after instant pot pinto beans.
Does anyone use it? Gravy, sauce/dressing, whatever?

I freeze all bean cooking liquid…with the beans if I’m not using the beans right away. Separately if I am using the beans right away. I used the cooking liquid for soups and stews instead of or in addition to vegetable or chicken stock wherever the taste of beans is welcome. It’s very flavorful and full of nutrition.
Yours is a great question!
Saute some chopped bacon and onion, add a bay leaf and white rice and toast. Then cover with the bean liquid and simmer until tender. Top with some chopped tomatoes, sour cream, cheese, and hot sauce.
When are you dishing up?
Add it to soups and stews as a thickener. Or to a pasta dish to which you add beans.

Same here. That’s why I’m looking for versatile ways to ways to use it, preserve it. I got the idea to reduce this batch to see how it goes with my mashed potatoes if I don’t do the “roux” thing. Still have to season it.
Use it to water houseplants.
when i steam veggies, the leftover water is used on my plants.
I like the sound of that.
Great base for miso soup, especially miso-pumpkin. Also good for making faux risottos with things like farro or even cauliflower rice because it simulates the starch that would normally come off the rice grains.
