She was a princess, and I’m giving her little brother extra attention right now so he hopefully won’t get too depressed or lonely.
So sorry to hear
You have brought us joy with your cat postings and it saddens me to see another beautiful face go on to the everafter. Remember the best and don’t pay any attention to the rest. She was very fortunate to have you in her world. &
Ziggy came into the bedroom today and fell asleep with me for the first time since Mika died. He’s been wandering around making little soft calling noises.
Sweet baby boy. No doubt he misses his ‘older sister.’
I am on a campaign to spoil him rotten right now
Poor guy. Love to both of you.
My little guy has had stinky breath for a couple of weeks the vet gave him some meds,Forman infection. No more stinky!
Monkey boy was an orphan the local PAWS folks found on the side of the road when he was 6 months old. He had a few health issues, including some inflamed gums. He had zombie breath when we adopted him. A little cleaning was all it took
Z’s gums were inflamed; hence the meds. I’m more concerned about his cardiac problems.
Any news about his murmur & treatment?
Diagnosis

Mild to moderate mitral valve regurgitation causing heart murmur
Normal left ventricular size with normal heart muscle function
Systolic anterior motion of the mitral valve causing a dynamic outflow tract obstructIon (This is the worrisome part)
Meds:Start atenolol 25mg tablets: Give 1/4 tablet by mouth once daily.
This medication is being used to slow heart rate and improve blood flow.
Normal left atrial size
How is he about being pilled? Monkey was the worst patient. One time when he had pneumonia we had 5 folks trying a team effort, and he still outsmarted us.
The heart med pills are so tiny, and he only gets 1/4 at a time. We’ve been using salmon flavored pill pockets - he scarfs them down. Now ask me about the liquid meds …
I feel like doing that sometimes.
