We had a sign in our guest bathroom to PUT THE LID DOWN bc our monkey boy loved to get in there and drink that delicious toilet water… :flushed:

We put the lids down on all the toilets when we got Parker 12 years ago (where does the time go!). He’s never actually been interested, but occasionally we use those toilet bleach tablets and I figure, why buy trouble!

Maybe it’s how I grew up, but I’ve always found it more… esthetically pleasing when the lids are down anyway, cat/dog or not.

But even our bestest friends who’ve been at our house countless times would forget to do so, and a few times I was surprised to see our monkey boy head first in the toilet, with his fat butt taking up the entire bowl.

Yeah, I got into the habit after living with male roommates in college and after. If everything is all the way down the current user can decide for themselves how many layers need to go up before use.

Our guests mostly are good about it. Mostly.

Seats all the way up at open houses for sale look disgusting. Sometimes realtors make videos to post and everything is UP!

Oh, I checked the portal. I’ve been checking it. And as a snide aside, my endoscopy results still aren’t in, and it’s been a month. It’s enough to make you sick. :eyes:

Got the kitties back today. My beautiful old girl’s bloodwork is iffy; scheduling a sonogram - it may be cancer. Ziggy is looking better due in no small part I think to his spa baths; he sees the dermatology specialist on Monday. My girl is napping next to me right now - oh well for the quarantine. She deserves snuggling. Ziggy is still in his own bedroom. He was happy to see his scratching board and was all over my face - again oh well with the quarantine. They were near enough to each other at the vet to be able to communicate, which is good.

I’m hoping for the very best outcome of the sonogram for your girl

And happy to hear Ziggy is doing better. It makes such a difference when our babies are well.

I was on the way to get them at the beginning of the week when I was in a fender bender. So, I was energetically persuaded to finally get a new car (long story - it should have happened anyway but I had been procrastinating, since I don’t drive that much since the pandemic) and the babies got to ride home in the new ride, with me being terrified that there would be another accident. They deserved a (for them) semi-luxurious experience. They won’t thank me, I’m sure. We have 2 road trips scheduled for next week. I need to figure out how to program the radio to all their favorite stations.

Do you ever watch the Japanese station on cable tv? One show is of cats in Japan and there is theme music at the beginning. My daughter showed me that one of her two cats will be sleeping (Shakira) and if that music comes on, she wakes up, knows her show is coming on! She does watch it!

Wow. I’ll check. We probably don’t, but that would be great.

Dang, Meekah, you’ve had some sht fer luck of late. Hopefully, a clean sono will be the reward for carrying your yoke. The bad has to end somewhere.

Coconut? Never knew a cat would dig that. Beautiful meowser there.

Taking the boy to see the specialist dermatology vet for follow up today.
My girl is almost 15. I’m not expecting good news.

I’m hoping against hope for the best news possible :crossed_fingers:t2:
