My sleepy boi
Benjamin Barker, our little boy royal fuzziness, had a skin condition. We had to give him a collar so he could not lick his meds off. He is so over it! So he chewed it to the point of uselessness. Lucky he seems healed but we are going out to get him a cat shirt.
Awww. He looks like a super-sweetie
He doesn’t have a mean brain cell. In fact, he is completely lacking in familiarity with brain cells. So yeah, incredibly sweet. Hs sister looks even sweeter but she is, to quote the song from Kiss Me Kate, “his gangsta sista from Chicago”. She is her Celestial Royal Furryness Principessa Turandot.
Yes. We are ruled by two felines named after musically inclined serial killers.
Sounds about right
That’s a whole lot of cat!
I love this description. My late Alfalfa fit this to a T!
It’s just the perspective! He looks real skinny if you take a pic from above when he’s standing up
Our last fuzzy boy was a wise old soul of great wisdom. Now we have one who is proof that orange is not just a color.
our first guy, Lord Poopington. Rehomed to us at age 10 and he was with us 3 years.
Looks like a relative of Henri, le chat noir.
I figured. I just could not control myself.
Big fan of Henri …
I love black and white jobs.
Those are some awesome ears on that pupper
this was Snowdrift - obvious name, eh? bit of a krazy kat who got nicknamed Drifty…
we vainly attempted to make him a house cat, but if he heard a door being opened he picked up the nickname Streaker - he was out in a flash. had to be rescued from very tall very old oak trees a couple times . . .
but he loved to take a drive - this is on I-95 - lots of double takes by the driving crowd . . .
The second Swabby Thing results are in. The first was called Wisdom Panel and the second Embark, both of which the doggie genetic testing enthusiasts on Reddit claim are very reliable.
Um.
Wisdom Panel, descending order breed/percentage:
- Great Pyrenees (33), American Pitt Bull Terrier (20), Labrador Retriever (7), American Staffordshire Terrier (7), Siberian Huskey (5), Rottweiler (5), plus 9 other breeds in the 2-3% range.
Embark Panel, descending order breed/percentage:
- American Pitt Bull Terrier (42, > 2X as much vs. what Wisdom says), Great Pyrenees (35, at least similar to the other test) Labrador Retriever (17, 2.4X as much vs. Wisdom), and Rottweiler (6), adding up to 100% and no other breeds mentioned.
Other than both of them identifying Great Pyrenees in the low-mid 30% range, having so much variation, e.g., APBT 42 vs 20, Lab 17 vs. 7 and one identifying 15 breeds and the other 4 breeds, I’m pretty skeptical.
Oh well, $200 down the drain but it was at least more entertaining than, and equally fruitful to, buying a bunch of lottery tickets.
