I found a wood tick the other morning, in my house, ON ME in the forehead hairline. I had been outside the day before and suspect it had dropped on me from a tree above. 'Tis tick season, for sure!

I love how dogs always seem to have a look that says, this is my job and I’m happy and proud to do it well.

As opposed to cats, who look mildly annoyed in the best case scenario, and seriously put out in the worst

Murphy’s first Tummy Time with Momma today. I expect there to be several more throughout the day/evening, depending on the length of his naps.

I’ve been thinking … why do we call it “making cookies?” That’s not how cookies are made.

They are kneading bread.

Kittens do this when nursing, guess it helps expel the milk.

Interesting. I’ve only ever heard the ‘kneading’ expression, not the ‘cookies.’

We call it Making Biscuits in The South. And it’s pretty accurate!

Do you knead when making biscuits?

The way my cat picks up and puts down his paws with a pinching/kneading motion is reminiscent of how my grandmother would rub butter into flour for biscuits, so, yes.

We don’t. I’ve never heard this. Just kneading or making biscuits.

Not a full on knead, but pressing and patting…so yes, this is a pretty accurate description.

I saw a post today calling it smurgling
