Updates and running commentary from our critters

Evidently he didn’t mind the pepper. I just remembered my first cat, Maggie, leaving evidence of her love of butter with those tell-tale cat-tongue grooves on the uncovered stick left out on the counter. :heart_eyes_cat::joy_cat:

You are a good cat grandma. My mother used to leave a smorgasbord out for Maggie when she visited. Dry, wet, kibble, treats, milk (I begged her not to do that) water, and some human delicacy. I’d drop off a cat, and pick up a fur ottoman with paws.

Was torn between dropping this here, or in the funnies thread…

Funny story: our late Dude was an indoor cat (of course), but was really intrigued one winter when we got slammed with a storm. I thought if I dropped him in the 30cm/12" snow on our patio he’d freak & run back inside, but nope… he started walking off towards our backyard, which had me scrambling to put on boots & retrieve him. Cats, man

Ziggy brought me all of his mousies! Then he lapped up the cream I had left in my bowl of blueberries. Uninvited. I guess he figured I owed him.

Favor-sharking little dude!!

The worst! He finished my tomato/cream pasta sauce too. In the same day!

But he gave you all his mousies!! Totally justified!

Yeah. That’s what he says.

Well, actually - he’s a cat. He has no need to justify anything. She is there to serve him, doncha know. And that means the cream left from the blueberry bowl AND the tomato/cream pasta sauce!

Near my house in SF I saw a man walking a small white dog on a leash and a gorgeous Bengal was walking along without a leash! So cute, like he regularly walks with them and can be trusted not to run off!

I ended up giving him some nip. He then took to roughhousing with his toys and, ultimately, put himself back to bed.
