My friend, who is from Japan, has two huskies; Inu and Yuki.

I hope Yuki is black. Then again, I’m the guy who named his dog “Cat”.

Ziggy!

How is Ziggy settling in?

He’s hiding under the bed. I have an adjustable frame, so I can sort of get him if I raise the head of the mattress. I got him a self-warming pad so he can be comfy. Didn’t clip the tag off. Lol.

I have no idea why he hides. When I pick him up and cuddle him, he head-butts, purrs like an engine, and wiggles his cute little toes.

Tomorrow morning I have to take him to the vet to get another vax. It will be interesting to try to corral him. He walks in front of me and meows, then runs. I think he’s setting me up.

I should have named him Yoda.

What a beaut.

Maybe trick him with catnip then grab him?

He’s shown zero interest in catnip!

Parker has a sixth sense for when he is going to get nabbed to go to the vet. We’ve taken to leaving his carrier where he is likely to be bedded down (like, weeks ahead). He’s kind of gone blind to it by the time the appointment comes up. Sometimes he even sleeps in it now, which is amusing.

 Maybe he needs to acclimate to sounds he’s unfamiliar with?

Nothing out of the ordinary. We will have a cuddle with coffee this morning. My cousin suggested, and I just ordered, dog steps to put by the bed.

Ziggy just jumped up on the bed. Of course, I just ordered doggy steps. Haven’t even unpacked them. :joy:

I got my old girl (14 this January) a new thermal cuddly mat for her condo in the kitchen. She immediately snuggled into it. She hasn’t been introduced to her new little brother yet …. She’s a tortie point Oriental Shorthair (well, actually a straight coat tortie point Russian Peterbald) with a nice, loud Siamese voice. It’s gonna be a symphony …

Mine is spending half of his time sleeping in his transportable shelter. It’s a little unwieldy to wrangle to the vet’s - it’s designed for car transport (seat belts hook through the back) and cat shows.

He has forgiven me the small pink snuggle bed. It matches my bedroom. The red shelter doesn’t lol :joy:

I was hoping he’d sleep in the regular carrier. I left it open on the floor a few days before his last vet trip. He wasn’t fooled …

OMG. It must have been love at first sight!

All of my cats have either been Siamese or part Siamese.
