My dog is spectacularly useless so here is my friend’s cat, Archer, assisting with a small assembly project.
How can I copy and resend this?
It’s FABULOUS
not absolutely sure, but while the video is playing, right click on the video and I think it offers to “Save video as” - which downloads to a location&filename you can specify.
He’s testing it now.
Maybe it would have been more worth to her than it was to me
I had one that did that. And the printer was a duplex printer, so of course the pages would appear and then disappear back into the printer, then emerge again. He finally broke the spring that held the top lid on by jumping up to snag his paper prey. No, this wasn’t the same cat that helped write my dissertation.
My grand cat who left a bit ago to go home after spending an early weekend with us.
Definitely a pistol. Zero to 60 in 2 seconds.

Obvious from the picture alone.
Sorry to reply to myself - too late to edit - but my printer-chasing cat loved the sound of machinery that would give him a treat. He loved the ice dispenser almost as much as he loved the printer.
From 20 years ago …
What a great picture (and memory)!
TW Cat death but cat rescue as well!
We lost our Benji last month. He had allergies, but we finally had them under control except for a bit of soft poops. Then, less than a month ago, he stopped eating. 2 weeks later he went on his next journey. Lymphoma was almost certainly the cause. He was the sweetest boy ever. He was also brainless: the perfect Boop.
His last Churu. Til the very end, he just loved life but he was having trouble breathing. We had him a short time but he was a bright shooting star that just had to burn out too soon. But his Boopatude lives on.
Being the mature, sensible people we are, the next day was Kay’s Birthday and we were going to take the Baltimore Water Taxi. But there was no parking. And we did not know where the stop was. So we did the only thing we could: we drove to BARCS and adopted a stray, named Octopus. He had been turned in in 2023, escaped and was a stray. He was caught 15 months later July 25 and We got him on July 29 right after his de-ball-ification. The guy was scared stiff! And hungry.
He quickly became Henrik Egerman, then Creamsicle and now mostly Creami, Squeak, Sqicky Squeek, and, of late, Squidly Whiplash. His vet paperwork says Creamsicle.
He is still a little jumpy and he uses distance from us to establish control. But every day, more good stuff happens. In the last 2 days, he got his first time with a brush, he groomed himself, he began to belly flop regularly for us. You can tell he is going to be cuddly in time.
He does not play alpha cat games with his sister: Principessa Turandot. He is a street thug and she is a Princess, daughter of the son of heaven. If he wants her food, it is his. He does not have to growl or hiss or arch his back or swipe. He just walks over and takes his prey!
Principessa’s already severe nip situation just became worse. She will be OK however as we have a bag it would take her a year to finish. Uncut, finest kind green. Ya know, the good stuff. Super high THC {Totally Happy Kitty}
Our first cat, the Dude had similar markings on his head, and also died from lymphoma after doing very well for years with steroid shots. Until he didn’t. I still can’t look at the pictures from his last night with us without breaking into tears. He was an absolute sweetie, and legendarily social: we’d host Halloween parties back in the day with 80+ peeps in the house, and he’d just march right through them and plop himself in the packed kitchen.
After just a month of suffering through a cat-less house, we made our way to PAWS and adopted Eskimo aka Rocky aka Monkey Boy aka Chonkster, etc. etc.
He’s 10 now. The Dude made it until 12. I hope this lil assclown is around for many, many more years <3
He is not chonky… he is comfortable. According to the expert.
And need I tell you who the expert is?
He’s a very comfortable, cuddly, fluffy 15.5lbs. Great for intermittent deadlifts
Or a suitcase carry if he isn’t too floppy!
My current little guy has the same head markings. I brought him in after my printer- breaking , ice cube craving, people-loving but very sick boy held on until I’d recuperated enough from my open heart surgery to sadly be able to drive him to Pet ER for what turned out to be his final journey. His “little sister” was despondent, so I of course figured a new baby brother for her was a good idea. Took her a long time to adjust. The new boy was undeterred by her cold shoulder. Now they are inseparable.
They aren’t too interested in kitty weed, however freeze dried salmon treats are another story.
And yay for BARCS! Mine are from Pennsylvania, not Baltimore. long story stretching back through three cats.
I think Mother is judgemental. Do not let it get you down.
Both the Dude and the chonkster had a habit of, um, relieving themselves after rabies or distemper shots in our car. The Dude loved being out of his carrier, so that was a particularly jarring experience. The chonkster stays in his carrier, but still Since this is a food site, I won’t elaborate any further.
We plastered the carrier with puppy pads this time for his rabies shot, but he behaved! We were shocked, though maybe the distemper one is the triggering vax
