I have to move the scale or wastebasket in front of one of the doors in my “galley” bathroom with doors on both sides. The other one latches properly, but one can easily be pushed open when Finnegan stands up and pushes with his front paws. If I’m taking a shower, I DON’T want the warm air escaping! LOL

My late cat Tiger used to get most upset with me when I closed the bathroom door on him. He wanted to go EVERYWHERE with me including the bathroom. So whenever I was showering I had to make sure the door was tightly shut otherwise Your Highness would push the door open and curl up on the bathmat. I would get upset because the warm air was escaping and Tiger got upset because I sprinkled him with water dripping from me when I got out of the shower. He only had one brain cell and even that one didn’t work sometimes but I loved him for it.

Well, I’ll admit - I DO try and get both Murphy (loud mouth who will HOLLER if he’s inside OR outside the bathroom when I’m in there!) and Finnegan IN the bathroom before I get in the shower. Then I don’t have to worry about it. Murph is almost always in there; it’s Finny I have to deal with if he’s on the outside. And sometimes Finn will just sit just far enough away from me as I try to entice him in so if I try and go for him, he’ll run. Hence, the scale or wastebasket door block.

Showers = puzzlement. Why is the hooman voluntarily getting wet? Ditto bubble bath. Ooh, bubbles. Lessee what’s under the bubbles …..OH NOES!!! WATER!!!
