They were at my store this week.
NAY to the Winter Sangria and Pineaple sparkling waters. Former tastes like cherry (which I dislike), latter is too sharp on its own (though would be good in a cocktail for pineapple flavor without sugar)
SUPER BIG YEA for the Rabbits Royale Chocolate covered figs. Thank you, thank you, thank you for telling me about these. Definitely one of the best things TJs has ever brought in. Delicious in the morning with coffee. Canāt wait to have them with port.
What part of the store are these in?
I see them in a standalone display near the front of the store.
Yay to the Stepping It Up Spicy Snack Bar Mix. Nothing wild in terms of heat, but has a pleasant little kick to it. Includes jalapeƱo pretzel bits, chile sesame chips, almonds, and some zesty corn nuts. Iād actually prefer it to be a bit spicier, but this is a great option for people who like spice and people who donāt want things too spicy lol.
Where I live, very limited supply. Iād call them in am and ask for them to hold until you come in that day.
As I said before, I made a box last 9 months by only eating one per month. Since they are wrapped individually, the last one tasted as good as the first.
I missed them completely last year because they were in and out so quickly; this year I was really determined to get some, make nice little presents.
In my local TJās they are with the other chocolates
Mine had them with other holiday treats, above frozen foods.
First time they were on an end aisle. Second time they were close to area they gave out food samples pre-covid. Ask a clerk. They might be gone by now. If youāre really interested I would call and have them hold some if they still have them. Thereās only 9 in a box, but the best chocolate treat Iāve had in ages.
Agree on all counts. So happy to find this again this year.
TJās was a total zoo today for some reason. I managed to resist all their sweet temptations - I swear, for months itās pumpkin everything, and now they seem to assault us with the most irresistible chocolate everything treats, even more so than usual.
Including this item, which isnāt edibleā¦
but it may as well be: the smell is so intoxicating Iām tempted to add some to hot milk and sip it all afternoon. Low-cal, right? A YAY for sure.
Has anyone tried this (new to me) product? Sounds fancyā¦
And this might make for a nice holiday gift.
Iāve tried the chicken thighs. I thought they were just okay. Nothing bad about them by any means, but would not go into my regular rotation. To me it just tasted like basic grocery store rotisserie chicken. Nothing wrong with it, but where I am I can get a whole rotisserie chicken for about the same price as the thighs, so your mileage may vary depending on where you are!
Saw the Panoply today, but didnāt get it because I have a bit of a pasta surplus at the moment. It looked great though, and Iām hoping theyāll still have some the next time I go.
Looking for the Coins of the World bags of chocolate (gelt). None in the Peabody MA store this past weekend. Has anyone seen them? Thanks!
Does anyone know if the Calabrian chili paste (bomba?) is a good example? Iām not hot on it (har har), but I donāt know if that means I donāt like THIS one or Calabrian chili paste more generally.
So was ours. What the heck?
My kiddo would like this. Thanks!
Cautious YEA - Frozen Kimbap with tofu. I was skeptical but someone in front of me picked up 4.
YEA - Marble rye (impossible for me not to immediately think about Seinfeld ).
YEA - Tiramisu (frozen, from Italy). Two generous individual portions to a pack.
YEA - Coffee bean ice cream.
MEH - Brioche toasts. Too big for many things theyād be perfect for.
NAY - Liquor truffles. The liquor is barely discernible. I returned all but the opened box; apparently they donāt do āliquorā returns but the manager who came to do the return laughed at the notion that the chocolates I was returning for not tasting of liquor might not be returnable for being liquor.
Forever YEA - Coins of the world / Hanukkah gelt. @grumpyspatient they are scattered around my store and have rarely run out till Jan, so maybe you can ask them to locate them for you or call and have them hold some. (Theyāve got a single, giant coin of the same chocolate right now as well.)
I bought this as a Hanukkah gift; glad itās good.
