Oops, my mistake.
I decided to try this 4-pack, MEH, as Borat might say, it didnāt excite. One little pack is 40% of daily sodium.
Iāll give the rest to my neighbor, she takes anything I donāt want.
The sauce pack is lame but the noodles are good dressed with oyster sauce, chili oil, etc.
I agree. The noodles themselves are good. I hated the sauce.
Good to know not to waste the noodles on the included sauce, thanks. I bought a pack but still havenāt used it (ditto the āfreshā ones they had for a while).
Big Yay for the seasonal key lime cookies they have now. Had some at my sisterās this weekend, and they are but size, nice crisp, and a surprisingly good key lime, sweet/tart flavor. I have to go pick some up later this week.
Exactly. Itās not worth doctoring.
Yes! And thanks for pointing out that they are seasonal ā Iāll have to get another box or two to stockpile.
Shoot. I was just there on Saturday but had a small, deliberate list of things I was getting, and I didnāt wander the store. These would have been a required purchase had I known about them.
Thinking about the falafel again. What about steaming them? I just recall having amazing falafel in Israel and they were pretty soft.
Deep frying might yield the best results?
If you want something akin to what you had, gotta start with soaking the dried beans and a pile of fresh herbs. A boxed mix or frozen isnāt going to do it.
Are the squiggly noodles available now where you are? I havenāt seen them locally since they first appeared and then vanished.
I bought some here in San Diego a few weeks ago.
Like others have said, the sauce isnāt that good on its own, but Iāve used it as a base for stirfry with this noodles.
Two salad dressing-related NAYS:
- Nay that the poppyseed dressing is already gone from the stores. I know itās a āseasonalā product, but gee whiz that was a short season! Glad I bought 3 bottles the last time I saw it.
- NAY to Trader Joeās for discontinuing my favorite balsamic fig dressing. Iām really going to miss it. Why do they have to discontinue everything I love?!
I hope it gets back here. I prepared it ramen-style, in broth with veggies and proteins.
How do you do that?
Always too many treats to explore and I get lost. ![]()
LOL I often wander there as well, but I was concentrating on my bigger shop at Wegmans immediately following TJs (theyāre just about a mile or so apart) so I was just going for the 5 things I needed.
now thereās a guy that like sauce.
