Trader Joe’s Product Reviews – YEA/NAY/MEH – 2025 Edition

New. Delicious. Not for kids though, spicy hot.

I’ll have to hide the bag from myself.

Stumbled in here while eating White Truffle Potato Chips that I grabbed in error. Was looking for Dark Chips and because I am a truffle fan decided to keep them. Tasty.
Have a lot of reading to do with this thread.

Unfortunately, I still have an excellent memory; I found the bag and started in again.

I found these yesterday and had to buy a bag based on your review. Will see how they taste this weekend. But much to my delight, they finally had the garlic butter chips back in stock. I hadn’t seen them since this spring. I had to grab this while I could too.

The Garlic Butter Chips were a rare NAY for me.

Too strong of a fake garlic taste / aftertaste for me.

I hear you. The garlic is really powerful in this, but I didn’t find it crossing the artificial border yet. What I do get more of is that after eating them a while, the saltiness creeps up and it becomes a complete salt bomb. That’s when I know I’ve hit the stopping point, and I need to put the chips down because I’m only getting salt. It only happens with these chips.

I gave a friend a bag of the Hot Honey Popcorn; he ate it all while driving home on the freeway, about 30 minutes.

Wow! These are “garlic butter” flavored potato chips?

I love garlic (as in, I will eat the garlic spread / toum as a dip by the heaped spoonful) but whatever version of garlic the chips were did not appeal to me the same way.

But it’s selling out, so it appeals to lots of other folks like you!

I also don’t love their style of kettle chip - it’s a bit greasy.

Another chip NAY for me is the Truffle chips - you get the truffle you pay for, I guess :joy:

More garlic than butter

I think of them as diet chips. I can only eat a few at a time as the garlic is so strong

Thankfully, most potato chips don’t hold much appeal for me , with salt & vinegar being the notable exception. But even then… I’m one of those freaks who can just eat one (or a few more, but not a whole bag).

Tried the chicken fajitas in the refrigerated entree section for the first time last night. It might be new. Actually pretty decent I thought but, as usual, next time I’ll doctor it up by adding additional fresh onions and peppers. I do that kind of thing a lot; sometimes for bulk (there are two of us), sometimes for flavor.

Damn it (shakes fist at you) I’m going to have to buy 3 bags of these when I’m back in the office this week. I don’t even normally like sweet popcorn, but you are right that these are so addictive. I like spicy, and I like butter, so I think this is helping to round out the sweetness of the honey flavor.

A huge YAY! for the return of the chicken broth concentrate in the box with the dozen packets that each make one cup of broth. Everyone was so excited. I forget how long it has been gone

(TJ supply chin gods bring back wasabi mayo now please!)

Yeah? Better than chicken Better than Bouillon?

AND it stays crispy! My bag lasted 3 sessions. Yours?? I guess it’s better for you than muffins and croissants.

(My friend loves croissants, walked into a new place at Pine/Polk SF. They were $9 each so he walked out. Couldn’t possibly be worth that price.)

I find it less salty.
